another Sox hat

I wonder if OMC knew he was a sox fan?

He's not. He DOES have a Cubs hat, as well as every other MLB team basically, hah. I've got a picture to prove it, gotta find it somewhere and scan it.

I'm VERY VERY VERY Happy that the 49er's got Willis. He hates playing in the cold and told me he doesn't want to play anywhere where it's really cold, so I'm pretty sure he was referring to Buffalo.

Good for him. 49er's are getting better by the moment.

In defense of some of the other guys, I got an email from a friend in Dallas that says with Quinn falling the Cowboys are looking hard at trying to get him. Jones believes the team doesn't have any immediate needs that have to be addressed. They like their receivers, though would like to get younger there. They addressed O-line with signing Davis and safety by signing Hamlin. If they think they can get Quinn, they will.

I'd much rather trade out of that spot if Quinn is still there, I would be pretty pissed if he's the pick. We really don't need a QB controversy with Romo and Quinn.

Michael Smith says some people are passing on Quinn because his first name is Brady....how [expletive] if true.

How does that even make sense? Some NFL teams higher freaking private investigators to tail potential draftees, no one is going to skip a player because of his first name for god's sakes, this is big business, not a video game.

Oh, and with deference to vance, Russell became the #1 pick on the basis of a workout. How'd that work out for Kyle Boller?

I think Quinn's the best QB in this draft. I don't care what kind of arm strength Russell has or how he looked in his personal workout in shorts and a t-shirt. Big deal. Nobody even knew who that guy was until the bowl season his last year in college. He's been a shooting star, but that's only because he was literally nowhere until his last couple games.

The Raiders couldn't deveop a QB to save their lives anyway. Quinn will most certainly be the more successful NFL QB.

You must not pay much attention to college football, Russell has been on people's radars since his freshman year.

Not anywhere near where he went. Not even close to that level.

Read what you wrote again, please. You said he was "literally nowhere" until his last couple games, which is completely untrue. I don't even know where you pulled that from, unless you just like playing expert.

What you said was completely false.

He was nowhere in terms of top 10. If you think he would have gone top 10 without the Sugar Bowl and his workout, you are sorely mistaken.

I would have been happy with him going to Denver. Ya, it's cold, but it ain't Buffalo. Plus Denver is a great organization.

So, I'm just glad he didn't go to the Bills.

Exactly. It's extraordinarily stupid if true...but I suspect its just typical ESPN bs.

What the hell? He was a top-10 pick before the Sugar Bowl. There's a reason the Sugar Bowl was looked at as a battle to go number one overall before the game (not retroactively). JaMarcus Russell had become a top-10 pick during the regular season.

What you're saying is that JaMarcus needed a good workout and a good game to get him where he was...we can say that about EVERY player drafted.

So what? No one goes anywhere without a workout. The point is Russell was a bigtime prospect as long ago as his freshman year, not some nobody that popped up the last couple weeks of the season. You keep changing your point, stick to one please.

I *think* GB will take Quinn. Especially now that Lynch is gone.

IMO, Buffalo's wrong about Losman...

Did anyone else literally LOL at the sight of Marshawn Lynch driving the golf cart in the highlights?

Yeah, not impressed with him. If Dick Jauron is involved in these personnel decisions, theres no surprise they've been reachign and wasting picks the last few years.

Theres an actual possibility that Brady Quinn could fall to Chicago...I don't even know If I'd like that.

I don't get the Losman thing either. Unless Buffalo is just using him as a placeholder until it can get its hands on a QB it likes. They might just not like Quinn, afterall.

marshawn lynch is in no way a reach. Hes the 2nd best RB on the board, and some have said he is even better then AP.

Sadly I doubt he drops that far.

He wasn't anywhere near that level before his last game and workout. Big time prospect? He wasn't close until 4 months ago. Plenty of players are drafted high without a special workout. You're simply wrong about that.

Without that Sugar Bowl, either Quinn or Calvin Johnson is wearing silver and black, and not only is Russell still on the board, but nobody is talking about him as a steal at this point like Quinn is.

Washington already has Campbell who is decent. Then again we are talking about the Deadskins here.
