I predict Soriano leaves the game early after hurting his hamstring worse and goes on the DL tomorrow.

Would not be surprised. If he had to leave the game for a PR in yesterday game how in the world is he going to be play?

I wouldn't go so far as to say he HAD to. Lou probably had it in his mind before sending him out there that if he got on, he was coming down for a PR. Lou wanted his bat out there, nothing more. (That is, assuming there wasn't any press about this that I missed.)

You know, Hank caught Z's only win this year. If tonight goes well (I suspect it will), they should seriously consider making him his personal catcher.

That's how I felt as well-Lou let Soriano come in, but he almost certainly told him that he was coming out for a PR as soon as he got on base. Soriano saw the ball going into the corner, so he jogged very slowly around. I'm sure you'll see him going at a much higher speed today. Sori wouldn't have been begging to play the last 3-4 days if he was really moving that slowly.

Thanks Bruce. He should seriously consider Theroit in every game. Every single game. However saying that, I don't mind DeRo in the line-up.

Thanks Bruce...I already miss Theriot getting on base....Floyd in the 2 hole? hmm Not sure about that. Would be nice to see Barrett and Riot in there instead.

My kid's school is doing TV tune out week this week so I won't see any game until next monday (solidarity is a b**ch). I have been informed by her though that I am allowed to listen on the radio so I got that goin' for me.

So is this the worse outfield defense in Baseball history or was it Mathews in left Jerry Mumphrey in center and Keith Moreland in right back in 86?

So Murton is 2 for 2 against tonights starting pitcher with a homer and is still on the bench. Even after Cliff looked pretty bad yesterday.

So what is the point of keeping Pie on the team if he isnt going to improve our CF defense?

So are we really sure that Lou is better than Dusty?

So far he's looked far better. Things are just not falling into place.

I agree that at least we dont have Tomas Perez on the team. I think Rich Hill would probably be well on his way to the dl if Dusty was here. I really dont see a lot of difference in how the lineup card is made everyday though.

cubs win 7-2.

zambrano strikes out 12 and maintains as much composure as he is capable of.

lee homers twice.

soriano errors in left, leading to one of milwaukee's two runs.

Izturis should never play over Theriot, and Floyd should never play RF over Murton. I can live with LF, but not RF.

How was Moreland in 1984 in RF? I was young in 1984, I don't remember if Moreland was good in RF...

ha...Theriot on the bench. What a complete joke this organization is.

This is shaping up to be another one of those seasons where I'm a Joliet Jackhammers fan more than anything.

Agreed. I spent more time, and saw better baseball, watching Hamlin Park (in lakeview) little league last summer.

That's pretty awesome.

As much as I despise Joliet as a municipality, Holy Cross stadium is nice, decent food, etc. There's that bar right there that several of the players patronize, which leads to some pretty funny exchanges and autographed Old Style bottles.

I've been there a couple of times. Pretty nice venue for a minor league stadium.
