Besides, Wainwright has been living dangerously as well-his ERA is good, but a WHIP over 1.5 means that the Cubs still have a chance of getting some runs off of him.

While your optimism is convincing and well-founded, I think that his WHIP of more than 1.5 means that 6 innings against the Cubs will be just what he needed to make that number a little closer to respectable.
