Miller (0-1) 9.00

After a great game on Saturday, with the offense defense & pitching all performing well at the same time, now it's time for Wade Miller to get back on track and send those dirty birds packing with what will be their 6th loss in 7 games.

Go CUBS !!

should they bother playing this one, or just forfeit and give the cards the victory?

I was thinking about that, but then I realized that the last time Miller pitched the Cubs managed to keep the game tied for 14 innings-so I'm still ready to see what the team can do. Besides, Wainwright has been living dangerously as well-his ERA is good, but a WHIP over 1.5 means that the Cubs still have a chance of getting some runs off of him.

should they bother playing this one, or just forfeit and give the cards the victory?

I was thinking about that, but then I realized that the last time Miller pitched the Cubs managed to keep the game tied for 14 innings-so I'm still ready to see what the team can do. Besides, Wainwright has been living dangerously as well-his ERA is good, but a WHIP over 1.5 means that the Cubs still have a chance of getting some runs off of him.

Don't worry, I'm making the trek to Wrigley tomorrow and the Cubs are 10-0 in my last 10 trips. Mark this one down in the W column.

Well, at least the Cards offense has been bad so far this year so we have at least a chance in this game. With that being said, Miller will probably give the Cards offense the kickstart it needs and we'll probably get killed.

Since I have almost no faith in a win tommorow (because of miller), then I will give you all the credit if they win.

St. Louis Cardinals Vs. Wade Miller

Chicago Cubs Vs. Adam Wainwright

What I want to see again during today's game:

Cubs are 1-0 (1.000) when I post those pictures during a Cubs/Cardinals series in 2007. 0-1 (.000) when I don't.

SO LETS HAVE ANOTHER.. CUBS WIN!

That is all.

Ask for season tickets.

I'm torn because I want the Cubs to win but I also want Miller to continue to suck so that he can quickly be replaced. Maybe the Cubs can win this one in dramatic fashion? :D

Well with Guzman's bad outing tonight, Miller is probably staying in the rotation for at least the next couple of weeks.

So he better be on his 'A-game,' whatever that might be.

GO CUBS!!!!!!

Cubs are (0-0) when I use exactly 6 exclamation points.

So if they lose, it's all your fault.

Wainwright is on my fantasy team and I'm definitely starting him tomorrow, hopefully we can get to the Cards after he exits.

Maybe it was just a let down for Guz. He looked better against Major League hitter.

Sorry, but I'm rooting against him all the way. I have a Rich Hill vs Wainwright bet riding on these starts. He didn't look too good against the Pirates in his last start too.

Go Cubs. If they can win tomorrow and take the series, I'll feel a bit better than I did after Friday.

I also said in a thread earlier that the Cubs are going to win 9 straight. I'll stand by that. It's going to be pretty exciting.

I've already mentally prepared myself for a loss. I know I shouldn't even bother and I don't really want to but I know I'll end up watching this game.

That's how I feel. But I'm not mentally prepared for a loss. That's how lost my cause is. Damn.

While your optimism is convincing and well-founded, I think that his WHIP of more than 1.5 means that 6 innings against the Cubs will be just what he needed to make that number a little closer to respectable.

The Cubs offense: where pitching slumps come to die.
