Willy Ayebar was suspended for 3 games. It was suposed to be lifted today but he didn't show. Now, he's suspended indefinitely!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is this all about?

Good to see Caesar get the BB.

Len said he broke a team rule but didn't mention the infraction.

Who's that guy in a Cubs uniform taking a walk?

Is it the 1B coach taking his position

WGN does not show OBP. Its comcast that does.

I don't have comcast and i've seen cubs OBP on TV, so WGN has to show it as well

It's pretty obvious Z's mechanics are all screwed up. It's the same thing that happened last year and it took Rothschild a month to figure it out.

I can't believe Rothschild still has a job.

I don't really think Rothschild is to blame for Z being a [expletive] headcase. Just sayin...

And one could argue that Dusty's overuse may have more to do with Z's start than anything Larry has done. If Lilly, Marquis and Hill are examples of what Larry is capable of, then bravo. Especially if Marquis can hold it together...even the great Dave Duncan couldn't keep that guy pitching well.

But he started the same way last year...

If Z's performance last year was Larry's fault...than what's the problem? Z ended up with a very good year last year.

The fact that it took Larry 5 weeks to figure out that Z's mechanics weren't right...

LOL...maybe it just took 5 weeks to get a headstrong Zambrano to actually do what he's telling him. If Zambrano is your case for Larry being a bad pitching coach, I don't think you have much of a case.

I didn't say he was a bad coach, I just found it odd last year he stated that Z mechanics weren't right in May, when my friends and I thought it was obvious in April.

But that doesn't mean that Larry didn't know that in April too. I think you're assuming a lot.

I'm only going by what larry stated in May and not April.

Nothing really to show off, so why show it?

I find it likely Z isn't all that committed in the offseason, which is what it takes to come out of the gates strong.

I'll buy that.

I don't. He was in great shape last year and started bad.

So he gets away from the fast food joints when he heads south for the winter. How does this show commitment?

Hey Fred, do you have individual pitches per plate appearance stats? I'm wondering if Izturis is leading the team right now...

I think he's on the road tonight.

He's on the DL with a wrist injury. According to rotoworld, he went AWOL.

Blasphemy. Fred is the living embodiment of the game threads, and nothing more.

Oh wait, I get it... you were being meta-physical.
