Winds blowing out?

Do I start Maddux or not...hmmm....

I'm seeing forecasts that are saying the winds are out of the south now, but will be coming out of the east/northeast around gametime, which woulc be blowing in from right and/or center. Of course, it could start out blowing out to left and switch midgame.

so Pie is starting in CF today? Is A-Ram starting?

Hopefully Ram is back. We lose Sori but gain Ram. Not bad...

Anyone know the blackout rules on MBLTV. I swear I have yet to watch a game on it. It always tells me it's blackout!

Is WGNTV cause for blackout or is Comcast? ESPN? What channels will cause a blackout...

Thanks!

Fox and ESPN national games are all restricted access (the games are not available live but can be viewed once they are archived). Blackouts are also geographical.

Okay...So I'm from Chicago so are all home games blackout for me?

Do you live in the Chicago area? If so, you will be blackedout because MLB is encouraging you to watch the game locally.

There are ways to get around the restrictions... I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'

I already put I'm from Chicago when I signed up so I'm screwed in that area. So I can only watch away games not broadcast on ESPN and Fox. Lame! If I would've known that I would never signed up...

I may be wrong (and I hope so for your sake!) but I read it that you won't see any of the Cubs games:

Local Live Blackout: ALL LIVE MLB.TV games will be blacked out in each applicable Club's home television territory

That's the going rumor. The cubs.com stats page has his ERA listed as 2.65 as well. That can't be right. :)

Marquis was 3-0 with a 2.79 ERA after 3 games last year.

He still has plenty of time to start sucking.

tulsacubsfan is right. you won't see ANY cubs games on MLB.tv. Do you have cable? Since you are in the viewing area you should be able to watch every game either on WGN or Comcast.

I live in Nashville and I'm in Cincy's blackout area. Figure that one out. So half of my cubs games have been blacked out. Complete crap.

I know that...But most of our games our daygames, thus I can't watch Cable at work...

Some of the blackout rules make no sense though. Carbondale is blacked out of the Cubs, White Sox, and Cardinals. The Cardinals one is the only one that makes sense as we have FSN Midwest, so pretty much all of their games are available. The Cubs and Sox one makes no sense at all because CSN isn't available down here. Yet we're blacked out anyway on MLB.TV.

I was actually going to consider purchasing MLB.TV this year and then I saw we were blacked out down here.

Some rumors circulating that Felix Pie has been called up and in the lineup for today's game. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Also, when does Mr. Bruce Miles usually post the lineup prior the start of a matinee game?

Thank you and Go Cubs!

most people can't watch games at work, computer or not. you should be able to watch the cubs game archive on MLB.tv after the game is over, though

Bah. The 1-2 should be flip-flopped, but I'm ok with this I guess. Bare-Bare was always going to sit for this one.

Agreed, I wanted to see Theriot lead off. Also wish that Floyd was in the lineup instead of Jones.

I'm just happy to see Ram back!

I'm kind of surprised that Izturis is not in the lineup today. I'm just fine with Cedeno playing a day or two, but today is the one day where Izturis had good numbers against the opposing pitcher (Izturis is 6/14 against Maddux with 1 2B and 1 BB, a .429/.467/.500 line). I would have much rather seen Cedeno play yesterday or tomorrow than today.

Leading off Pie huh? Not smart IMO...let him settle in further down in the order.

I like it. You are expected to come up and perform. We are not going to treat you with kid gloves. It probably depends on the player, but with everything I have read about Pie I like taking this route.
