Has Barrett even thrown out a runner this year? Letting a pitcher steal on you is the most embarassing thing that can happen to a catcher.

Wasn't barrett throw to make. Marquis had the ball.

Sorry if this has been answered, but is Ramirez still day to day?

Available to PH tonight, probably will start tomorrow.

Well thats good at least.

Barrett never touched the ball.

That wasn't on Barrett. The pitcher took off while Marquis still had the ball and he made a high throw to second base. Marquis never threw a pitch on that one.

Ah, my bad then.

It wasn't on Barrett-the base was stolen without a pitch even being thrown.

Famous last words they may be, but I'm not worried. It's cold, and if you stretch your hammy beyond a certain point, this will happen from time to time. I'd expect Fonzie to be in the lineup on Wednesday at the very latest.

And that's why Soriano isn't going to stick in CF.

He's bad out there, he doesn't look at all comfortable still, and at some point they can't risk having him run into walls, other players, and hurting himself diving into the turf.

Except for one post, the consensus here seems to be that Soriano's injury doesn't look too serious.

Looks like he tweaked a hammy. Doesn't look to bad, but we are the Cub,s so let's get the offical word first...

every cub will be hurt an inordinate amount of time on every occassion. there are no exceptions. the cubs cannot stay healthy, at least their good players.

Yeah, you never see Neifi, Macias or Lenny Harris going down with a major injury. Sometimes I wonder.....

And once we get the official word, we just wait and see how inaccurate it was.

And none of us have any idea. He was grabbing his hamstring. Even if it's not serious, that's something that could turn into a nagging injury throughout the season. We've all seen what Aram went through.

Yep. Neifi and Macias never seemed to get hurt.
