I wonder how Lou would react in the postgame interview if Cincy scores 8 times this inning?

He'd quit the team and retire before the Cubs stepped to the plate in the bottom of the 8th.

I wouldn't want to bring children into that world...

Floyd is currently sporting a .746 OPS. So why is our LF of the future glued to the bench? Must be Floyd's gold glove defense.

Does the sample size argument only work when it is directed toward Floyd?

CLIFF FLOYD IS VERY FAT

Yeah. Cliff Floyd doesn't eat the sample sizes, he eats the full meal.

When did Murton become the LF of the future?

All throughout Spring Training, Lou said that Murton would be the main LFer.

Only pro-Murton comments are allowed then? Gotcha.

main LF in '07 is not even close to being the LF of the future.

Floyd is old and past his prime. Murton has his best years ahead of him and he's already pretty solid. Don't need sample sizes to see this stuff.

Its ridiculous. A .313 OBP in 15 AB's doesn't even qualify as a slump. Especially when its not regular playing time.
