When Len mentioned that Dempster was warming up, he said, "It's not going to be a save situation ... probably ..."

Floyd is currently sporting a .746 OPS. So why is our LF of the future glued to the bench? Must be Floyd's gold glove defense.

Does the sample size argument only work when it is directed toward Floyd?

Game thread.

Only pro-Murton comments are allowed then? Gotcha.

No, it means don't take anything said seriously.

Gotcha...my bad on the misinterpretation.

Floyd is old and past his prime. Murton has his best years ahead of him and he's already pretty solid. Don't need sample sizes to see this stuff.

My guess is that Lou wants Floyd's power in there while Aramis is out.

I've never understood the love for Matt Murton.

I know..How many people on here already have Matt Murton tattoos?

It's not necessarily a "Matt Murton" tattoo. It's just a huge blue #19 outlined in red covering my entire back.

He has a career line of .302/.369/.457. That's pretty good and I'd rather have him as the primary starter than Floyd.

If Floyd was hitting for power that might make sense.
