Keeping track of the game thru CBS sportsline. And according to various "gloggers". Zambrano is an overrated ace. He's not near the Santana, Peavy, Halladay class of #1s. He's more like on the Kazmir level. "Is he good? Yes. An ace? No way." He's a mediocre fantasy starter and that's only if your league doesn't count WHIP and ERA.

This is fun.

I'm really disapointed in Carlos. 3 starts and his ERA is 7.88.

He had a 5 run lead! I it weren't for Wuertz they wouldn't have a chance.

Maybe Z can't pitch with a big league. Remember how he didn't qualify for wins on opening day the last two years despite being given huge leads in both games?

I just don't know what it will take for him to take his game to the next level. He shows flashes of pure dominance, but it's mixed with head banging Alfonsucka-like innings.

It's all true. In an ideal world, Carlos is still the #3 pitcher on this team.

Why doesn't Lou ever let Wuertz go more than 1?

I don't have any problem with Wuertz being taken out. For one, he'd be facing all lefty's this inning. And secondly, he had to have spent quite of bit of energy in that tense situation last inning.

Sad to say, but I tend to agree with the first part. He is a good fantasy pitcher for Ws and Ks though.

I'm starting to hate Ohman and I'm starting to believe that Z and his ever-growing ERA isn't worth a big contract.

I've hated Ohman for 2 years now...what took you so long?

Yeah I didn't realize who was coming up.

Little known fact though, Wuertz is actually a switch pitcher, and could've struck out the side that inning throwing lefty no problem.

He was better than Peavy last year. Hell, he was better than every pitcher in the NL last year.

This is just like the Cubs. Come out and get everybody excited... blow it all in miserable fashion... but show just enough promise weasling out of it that the fans are still excited over the prospects of the team.
