It's only the 6th inning of a 1 run game. Murton can pinch hit for the pitcher's spot and take Floyd out defensively.

I know. I'm just frustrated. This blows. Feels like 2006.

This team is a joke w/ the notable exceptions of Lee, Ramirez, Hill, and Wuertz.

Hey now, Ted Lilly has pitched pretty well so far.

He definitely could do that-I was just referencing the idea of him pinch-hitting for Jones. I bet Murton will still pinch-hit sometime later in this game.

Edit: Oh, I understand now. You were responding to the same thing. Never mind :D

2 weeks into an 8 year deal, I can conclude that Soriano is a BUST

Yeah sarcasm implied seeing as how I wrote it like that.

However, it didnt take me 2 weeks to figure out it was a terrible signing. I said it the moment it happened. Why we gave $136 million to a guy with a career .835 OPS I will never know

Because he's got tools and the GM is a desperate fool.

Soriano might have made a boneheaded play, but the reason the Cubs are losing this game is simple. Walks. Plain and simple.

It's a lesson that should have been learned one or two hundred times over, but seemingly hasn't been learned. Walks will kill you.

this stuff only happens to the cubs in their cursed park.
I am gonna see what I can do about putting a curse on the Cardinals when I go there this year.

only a card fan can put a curse on the cards.

nice managing lou.

who would have played right field?

Murton

The bench is already short. Murton had to stay seated. Lou didn't want to use DeRosa either but he's hoping to get some extra offense from him.

It's unfortunate that our #1 pitcher is one of the worst offenders in this area.
