STOP WALKING PEOPLE!!

In fairness to Marquis, guys with electric stuff tend to walk people.

Nolan Ryan had several seasons in which he walked 4 batters or more per game.

Well that was an unearned run correct? None of the walks scored? Marquis really hasnt been so bad, I mean I dont like 3 walks in an inning but if they dont score I really dont care about em.

I just have no other explanation for this franchise. Gold glove defensive shortstop makes 3 errors in a game, 2 in one inning no less. Cursed

Except...the walks advance the lead runner...so they did score.

5th inning is a bit early for the Cubs offense to tie it up and then defuse again.

Nothing to see here, folks.

Nah. We'll score 3 and lose by 1.

i haven't seen a cub take a 3-2 pitch in years.

They've done that 7-8 times already this year-of course half of them were called strike 3.

how many times have they had full counts?

they're only working the count so that they can swing later.

Like I said, at least 7-8. Barrett and Izturis took pitches on 3-2 counts yesterday, for example.

I was referring to the DeRosa ground ball where he looked to 2nd, but threw to 1st and the runner scored from 3rd. Was Cesar not covering 2nd for the DP opportunity?

Is it me or does it seem like the Cubs routinely struggle the first time they see a pitcher? I think the Cubs have the worst advance scouting in baseball.
