This is just downright pathetic. Izturis is on this team for his defense and then he commits three errors today. Marquis sucks, but we all expected that to happen. And as usual, we make some random bum pitcher look like Cy Young. Our "best offense in the NL" once again looks like the same complete utter crap that we saw for all of last year.

 

It's only eight games in, but Houston is not a very good team. Their offense is not that good and their pitching is garbage. Being shut out through 5 innings for two days in a row definitely concerns me.

 

I agree with everything you said except for saying Marquis sucks. It's only been two starts, but he's surpassed my expectations so far.

i can't envision a situation in which they'd score a single run, let alone many.

 

Maybe if the Cubs trade izturis to a team they are playing and he makes 4 consecutive errors. That's the only way I see it happening.

I can't believe I'm this mad at the Cubs this early in the season. I know its only the 8th game but they are simply maddening. These are the freaking Astros and they're pitching a freaking guy named Chris Sampson. We lost yesterday to freaking Woody Williams.....and Jones just freaking grounded out AGAIN! Holy freaking crap.
