If I had not started Contreras and Lowe and gone with no starters I would be in this game. My relievers and offense are doing fine.

Granderson had a nice day today:)

If you want to bench your starters for the rest of the week, I'll let you. :D

Meanwhile, I put Gomes in at Utility and Baldelli on the bench since Baldelli had a hamstring problem. Baldelli is playing in Gomes' place at DH and I'm getting nothing at Utility.

Can I switch these guys? Gomes has zero at bats so far this year.

I will need some good pitching to catch you. Two homeruns from Beltran helps. I am liking the looks of my hitting and pen, but my pitching...

My hopes for the season really depend on the White Sox. Contreras, Buerhle, Vasquez, and ex-sox Garcia.

Ask the commish about the move. I think exceptions can be made due to injuries. If a player was supposed to be benched due to an injury, but starts playing again they can be inserted midweek into the line-up, but I am not sure....Juan????

Gah, Octavio Dotel to the DL. And my other reliever is Brad Lidge. Grrrreat.
I have Dotel on my team in a Yahoo autodraft league. My other relievers in that league are Chris Ray and Mike Gonzalez. And that is a weekly change league, so I can't even move Dotel to the DL and replace him until next week.

Yep, it's starting again. I'm playing the team that is outscoring the rest of the league by 35 points. I'm 8th in scoring, but 2-7 are all between 137 and 143, and I'm within 10 points from 2nd place. That of course would put me in a close game if I played any other team in the league....but NO, I again draw a team on a hot week.

DAMN!

Your hitting is far superior to mine, but my pitching is what will carry me this year.

Depending on weather, I still have starts from Wainwright, Bonderman and Halladay for the rest of the week.

I'm just going to tough it out at utility.

I think I just lost 2 starts for the remainder of this week. Detroit and Toronto (Bonderman and Halladay) cancelled their game because it was only 29 degrees. Meanwhile, the Cubs and Reds are playing in 35 degrees.

AL teams are wimps.

That bad inning by Sanchez ended his day with 0 points on the board. I'm down 11.5 in the match and 16 to the division leader. Not bad.

Dye is definitely helping the cause with his 1.25 this week.

Hopefully he didn't get hurt too bad off that line drive

i'm down a bit, but i should out-start buddiga 4-1 the rest of the week.

my offense has been pretty bad this week.

4-2, Zito and Willis each go again unless something changes. I put Hill on my reserve.

A couple of your starters need to tank for Buddiga to win.

Terrible offensive show for the Dishmans other than Byrnes with a 23.5 thus far. Youkilis is my only other offensive player in double digits. My 2 big keepers, Dye and Atkins, are chillin on a 9.75 combined.

I benched him yesterday, so I should be OK for this week. According to CBS, the x-rays are negative.

I hope CBS's scoreboard has him benced. They have him listed as a reserve and in the starters column (although he is shaded dark grey).

I lost out on Jones, Granderson, and Thomas because of the postponement. But if it means that you do not get starts from Bonderman or Halladay along with a day of IRod.... :pl:

They may skip a starter and leave Bonderman and Halladay on their normal rest.

looks like bush is doing just that.

i don't see how this new scoring helps pitching points when TBA are 1 point each. bush is on his way to a contreras-esque -25.

well, it doesn't help pitchers that suck. trust me, at the end of the year, pitchers scores will be higher.

Speaking of pitchers sucking, B.J. Ryan really stunk up the joint tonight. He gave me negative points even before deductions for TBA.

I'm up by about 22 points with two pitching starts remaining for both of us. I see a 1-0 start for me for a second straight year after my 0-13 start in 2005.
