Lou makes a statement in game 1 of the season to the fans, the team, the opposing team and the umpires that the Cubs mean business this year by getting kicked out of the game during the exchange of line up cards at home plate. :D

The Cubs go on to win the game 8-0 on a 5 hit shutout.

Wow-the Reds must have committed quite a few errors-that's 29 outs hit into by the Cubs, and that doesn't even count the pitcher's spot :D

Cubs win 8-6.

First hit, HR, run, and RBI- Soriano to lead off the game.

First SB- Derrek Lee

Zambrano gives up 5 ERs on 3 hits in 5 2/3 innings. Strikes out 9, walks 4, but gets the win and a 2-run double.

I remember on the first game last year we scored like 14 runs. I was like " damn, we have an offense, were going to be good this year" Boy, was I wrong..Well it actually was going all good until DLee got hurt..I still can't beleive opening day is only 3 days away..Its just to hard to beleive after this long and exciting offseason.

Didn't we dominate the opening game in each of Dusty's seasons?

One year, ironically the one with the most hope 2004, we only won 7-4

Wait, is Ditka playing for the Reds?

I'm going to go ahead and throw out...

8-2 Cubbies

1st hit: Soriano

1st RBI: Ramirez

1st HR: Ramirez

1st K: Jones

Big Z goes 6

Gooz goes 1

Howry goes 1

Demp finishes her off.

Now that I've made my prediction I can pretty much guarantee the game will be nothing like that.

I hope the Cubs lose.

Last two yeears they blew out the opener and then the whole year went to crap.

"Strike that. Reverse it."

The Cubs also won big in the opener in 2003.
