If you were wondering what became of Adam, you'll be happy to know that the Royals picked him up. He's currently fighting for a roster spot but with limited Spring Training at-bats he's probably going back to AA.

The former Cubs outfielder is with his third organization in 10 months and likely will start the season at Double-A Wichita.

Worst first MLB AB ever.
1.000 career OBP. :D

He doesn't have an AB, only a PA.

True, but isn't OBP (as opposed to BA) based on plate appearances, not at-bats? After all, walks aren't at-bats either, yet they contribute to OBP.

This is the toughest part for him I'm sure.

But Greenberg, who still suffers from vertigo from the beaning, hit only .228 with Jacksonville, and was without a job after the seas

It appears he still hasn't gotten over the effects and that might be what has been affecting his play.

Still upset about Adam's fate - coulda' been the first MOT on the team in a long time (that I know about, anyway).

(let me know if you don't know what "MOT" stands for)

Sad sad situation, especially when you consider how great of a person he is.

I have no idea what MOT stands for. But, then again, I have no idea what Mott or Hoople stand for, either.

I think MOT stands for Member of the Tribe, or Jew. That's the only meaning of "MOT" from Urban Dictionary that seems to fit.

Would make sense, too, his name being Greenberg. There really aren't that many jews in the entire league, are there? Shawn Green, and . . . that's all I can remember all of a sudden.

Got it. Did you know that former Cubs relievr Miguel Batista was the last Jew (IIRC) who suited up for them?

Of course, I guess this where that joke from "Airplane" comes from..

Murton and Greenberg were called up together.. right after the last game of a series in Sevierville (ironically enough). The guys were left behind because they were supposed to have been called up to Triple-A Iowa. Jaxx manager Bobby Dickerson got a call from Oneri just as we were leaving the park. Oneri told him that the Cubs had sent down Corey Patterson and Jason Dubois and that Murton and Greenberg were to report to the Cubs.

Bobby gets off the phone and tells everyone on the bus the great news. Then he calls Greenberg and turns his cell phone on speaker for everyone to hear Adam and Matt's reaction (God I love fancy cell phones).

Lets just say that those two sounded like girls at a Justin Timberlake concert. They were screaming like girls.. that might be the best memory I have from that season.. that and losing my hair when the Jaxx won the second half.

I hope Adam gets another shot. He's a great kid.

Were the seas that rough? Was he without a job because he rocked the boat too much?
