The highest offer I've received thus far for the final two tickets I'm trying to sell -- 2 bleacher seats for the Saturday, April 21st Cards game -- is 175 bucks. Unless I get something better over the weekend, I'm going to sell them.

Vance, don't settle for less than double the cost of face value for your Sox tickets.

A little more than double face is what I'm asking, but it's not double what I paid considering the over $4 fee the Cubs charge per ticket. When that's factored in, I'm asking a little under double what I paid, except for the Saturday tickets.

I'd like to have the money in hand in the next week or so, so I'm trying to be reasonable.

I've gotten a bite on my Sunday set.

I've had inquiries on both the Friday and Saturday tickets. No official person saying they would buy. I've sold my home opener tickets and will just be waiting on payment.

On another note, I just bought four bleacher seats to the Labor Day game against the Dodgers. I figure I'll either turn a nice profit selling those closer to the date, or I'll be eating a loss on the tickets. I was in a gambling mood.

I'm sure you'll make money off of those if the Cubs are still in the race. If not, then you might take a loss. I had thought about buying tickets to other games as well, but decided it was probably best for my bank account if I only bought tickets to games that I knew would provide a huge profit.

Vance you are being more than fair...and I also pulled the trigger on the Labor day tickets yesterday afternoon.

You guys will probably make money on the Labor day game. Although it probably would have been better if you bought the 8-31 game. Their will probably be around 30,000 Iowa Hawkeye fans attending the Iowa vs N. Illinois game at Soldier Field on 9-1. I am guessing some will still be around on Labor Day.

Wow, it was harder to score Brewers tix for the Cubs game on April 7th than it was to get the 3 Wrigley games yesterday.

Brewers had the address bar and ctrl-N turned off on their waiting room. So it was only one window (at least I couldn't figure out a way to do multiple on a single computer).

For those eBaying, I'd suggest setting the end of the auction as a weekday evening - more people online, therefore more nibbles. I'm waiting until Monday night to list them for that reason (7-day listing).

I was checking up on something with tickets.com and they told me that after this weekend, the Cubs box office gets together and starts going through the lists of all the tickets that were purchased. They didn't know how exactly the Cubs handle orders that they cancel, but it might not be a bad idea to keep checking by phone for high demand tickets right around March 13, which is when the tickets actually start getting printed. Or better yet, in person.

I know when I've gone in the past to pickup tickets at will call the first day they're available, there are always at least some tickets to the White Sox series being sold.

Good tips Jon, thanks.

I asked this question earlier, but it may have gotten lost. I paid to have my Sox tickets sent Fed-Ex. I have some others that I just checked mail. Can I call before they start prinitng and arrange to have them all fed-exed together?

I've gotten tickets changed to will call before, so they can change shipping. And I'm pretty sure people have gotten their tickets combined before.

Is anyone going to the Brewers-Cubs series before our home opener?

I got tickets to all three games -- should be fun.

Yeah I'll be there for the Saturday game. One thing about baseball in Milwaukee in April --- it won't be cold at the game, no matter what.

I may just have to drive up to Milwaukee for that series, although the fact that it seems Prior will be slotted #3 has thrown a wrench in my plans to go up to see him pitch (crosses fingers in hopes that he'll be pitching at all).

I'm pretty excited. I hear Miller Park is awesome.

Although, I think that's Easter weekend, so I'll probably just go on Fri and Sat...

I've got tix to all 3 games too - if you're really interested in going, I'd suggest buying your tix *now* - I don't think they'll be around long!

And this series is over the Easter weekend, lucky for me as I've got Good Firday off anyway - might as well put it to good use. Miller Park is beautiful - we went to a game there when we were up for Irish Fest a few years ago. Question, though - anyone know how warm they keep things when the roof is closed? I read somewhere that it can be up to 30 degrees warmer inside, so don't know if I should pack short sleeves, long sleeves, what type of jacket, will a blanket be warranted, etc. In April, it could be 40-50 degrees outside, so hard to predict. Any guidance will be appreciated :)

I don't think I've ever been there when its cold out, but if you aren't out in the bleachers its just the same as being in any indoor stadium.

If anyone is interested, here is a copy/paste of the info from the email they sent me. I just want to recoup my costs.

Looks like a great secondary market for anyone looking to buy. Quite bad if you're looking to sell, especially bleacher tickets.

As it turns out i'm stupid, and i was only making room for one series prior to the home opener. Therefore I'll actually be seeing the #2 starter pitch the home opener and the april 15 game...

Any ideas who that'll be? Prior? Hill?

Piniella was talking about going R,L,R,L,R...so that might mean hill.
