Looks like a great secondary market for anyone looking to buy. Quite bad if you're looking to sell, especially bleacher tickets.

I disagree. I sold a total of 16 bleacher seats for at least double the price I paid on every one of them.

As it turns out i'm stupid, and i was only making room for one series prior to the home opener. Therefore I'll actually be seeing the #2 starter pitch the home opener and the april 15 game...

Any ideas who that'll be? Prior? Hill?

Piniella was talking about going R,L,R,L,R...so that might mean hill.

You'll get to see Marquis

For which games, though? Unless it's the Saturday White Sox or Saturday Cards game in August, you can't really get double if you're including the tickets.com fees (about $47 per ticket). Heck, you can get a pair of bleacher tickets to the Friday or Sunday night Cards game on eBay for just over $100. Even after shipping, that's not much more than what you'd pay if you got them through tickets.com.

And stubhub.com is saturated with bleacher tickets.

Again, be sure to report back on how Ted looks.

you should probably be pissed at the ticket brokers and not a few guys on a message board....they're the ones buying up all the tickets.

I apologize for buying tickets I can't use. If someone will find me a free place to stay close to Wrigley for late May, I'd be happy to let them have some Sox tickets at face.

As it is, hotels are more than $100 a night and I need to pay for that. Re-selling these tickets accomplishes that goal.

Sorry if that offends anyone's sensibilities.

i'm not sorry at all...i'm trying to make bank on these bad boys.

seriously....if all goes well i'll be attending two cubs games (6 tickets total) for free and also having my flight paid for both times.

I'm not sorry at all either. I've been screwed in the past and had to pay double for Cubs' tickets. This is just a way for me to make my money back.

I bought my tickets not knowing if I could actually get to the game or not...........and I'm not apologizing for that.

i had no luck friday, but just now got 4 horrid seats for a september saturday game against the pirates. i hope its a game that still matters. somehow 4 $16 seats costs almost $90. 5 bucks/ticket for a convenience fee that doesnt include shipping?

There's a huge advantage in buying box office tickets. That's why so many people go through the bracelet process. You save money on every single ticket.

For games like you're talking about ... if you or anyone you know can buy tickets in person, just go that route and save a lot of money.

Anyone care to advise me on selling two Cub-Cardinal tickets for the Saturday, April 21 game? They are section 404, second row. The face value was about 90 dollars and I can't go. I'd like to make a little cash because I'm hoping to help offset the price on several other tickets I got. My problem is I'm not seeing tickets on ebay for this game going for much more than face value. Is it too early?

Right now, there's a glut of tickets out on Ebay for games like that. People bought and are now trying to turn a quick profit. Buyers feel like they have some choice and aren't desperate either.

If you can afford to wait, you might can get more closer to the date. It's always a risk.

Sometimes you can make a quick sale on Ebay by setting a reasonable BIN price. Bidders might go ahead and buy rather than wait out an auction.

Thanks for the tips. I'll probably just wait. I won't have them until mid-March anyway. I'm sure I can always at least get my money back somewhere.

i saw a buy it now go for $230 for 2 cubs/sox may 19th tickets last nite....gave me hope, hah.

BIN is probably the best way to go. I'm probably going to be listing my Friday and Saturday Sox tickets as well. I just haven't decided if I'm going to break them into 3 pairs, one pair and one group of four, or sell the entire six together.
