Today's Tribune quoted Kenny Williams as saying that the Sox are going to let Buerhle, Iguchi, and Dye become free agents at the end of this season. The way Reinsdorf and Williams pinch pennies means that it's highly unlikely that Buerhle and Dye would be back and possibly Iguchi as well. In my opinion, Iguchi has been one of the unsung heroes of the past few years. They would still have some good young pitching for 2008, but I'm not sure who would provide much offense if they lose Dye and Iguchi and with Thome getting older.

Can't wait to hear all 48 White Sox fans complain about that when it happens...

I wonder if the fickle crossover fans will come back to the Cubs if they are the ones winning?

God I hope not. It's hard enough to get Cubs tickets as it is. I don't want the bandwagoners showing up to games and asking stupid questions like "Who is that number 34?", or "Why isn't Sosa starting in right field?"

That is the majority of the fans of any team. There aren't many people like us.

Wrigley is chock full of people just looking to have a good time, whether we want to admit that or not.

Yep...Good times. Number 34 is Tiger Woods.

Is it me or is Williams pretty arrogant, and not necessarily with good reason?

I don't think it's just you. He seems to have a real arrogance about him. The way he talks, you'd think he's built an absolute dynasty. Between he and Guillen, it's not hard to dislike that team. Not because they are "rivals" of the Cubs (I don't consider them to be rivals), but because they are both clowns.

Williams has been talking like that since he took over the job, it has nothing to do with them winning in '05.

So I was in St Louis this weekend for Mardi Gras..I met a couple of Cards fans and they were all really nice and cool, they all told me how much they really liked Cubs fans because they are not a-holes and they really liked Wrigley Field alot. They were really repsectful and cool.I told them all thanks alot and im really looking forward to coming to the new Busch Stadium for a Cubs and Cards game. They are completely different than White Sox fans who care more about what the Cubs do than their own team and all they do is bash and talk crap about Cubs fans because theyre all hillbilly white trash.Maybe I met some of the good Cards fans, im not sure, because there is alot of thugs and trashy people down there who would probably bash me for saying Im im Cubs fan,I don't even know what would happen if I wore my Soriano jersey.I got enough of a hard time for drinking Miller Lite down there since I dont drink crappy budweiser products.Overall I had a good time in St Louis

Ahahaha....I can see it now, tons of articles in the Trib about Sox fans "crossing over". What a bunch of malarkey.

That number seems a bit high. You must be including all the White Sox fans who are in prison.

Yeah, and he was awful for his first seasons. His moves have looked really good the past couple seasons, but his ego far outweighs his accomplishments.

Although I don't care for a lot his moves but he's never had a sub .500 team.

He also took over a division winner.
