Just saw Kerry for the first time this season...my goodness he's lost weight!

He looks like he did when he first came up. Amazing how dropping a few pounds can take the years off.

Dude was never that skinny.

You don't think so?

Additionally, its astonishing how much losing weight can relieve stress on the joints.

As most people here know, weight gain isn't always good, whether its fat or muscle. It depends on the profession and the use of the additional mass. Those generalities are a given.

However, it is seldom emphasized how much just an additional 5-7 pounds can have on your joints and interal systems in general. For instance, how many people know that being just 8 pounds overweight can lead to snoring? This fact demonstrates that weight does not just gather on the outer most layers of our physics, but rather has significant impact on our internal systems.

If a person's build is such that it cannot accommodate additional mass (again, fat or muscle), his or her joints will suffer. I have experienced this first hand in my shoulder and was amazed at the results of losing weight. (Snoring was also aleviated).

If Kerry has lost weight and can maintain it (not an easy thing the older you get), I think there may be light at the end of the tunnel for us fans who have pulled for Wood all of these years. I hope the best for him.

As long as you have an 8 pound epiglottis.

Not in the body. His legs look really thin.

Hendry also said he weighs less now than when he first came up.

Great a Roberto Novoa sighting. SOB.

Hey, somebody's gotta be the new whipping boy.

I think Marquis is going to win that role in a landslide.

Especially if he wins a spot in the rotation over Hill.

Win hell. It sounds as if he already been given one.

But things can change if he stinks. My fear is he will pitch just well enough to stay in the rotation.

I would not be shocked if he hit 100-103 this year. The drop in weight is going to make his arm even more quicker.
