Must only be in the US then. When I was in Japan a few weeks ago, there was an ad I saw run several times for Asahi beer, prominently featuring Hideki Matsui.

It is a U.S. thing. But I think the rule is you can't drink alcohol in a commercial.

Just curious, what are the Japanese rules for illegal drugs in baseball? Is their policy tougher or easier than MLB?

Are they mad about the beer or the fact he had a Red sox Uniform of and the beer company didn't pay MLB for the rights to the Red Sox name?
