All I remember about Hill is that he's a small guy and spends WAYYY too much time in between pitches while at bat. He drove me nuts.

He was extremely arrogant when I met him. My wife actually yelled at him for treating a couple of kids like crap. She still refuses to follow baseball, but her hatred for Bobby Hill runs deep.

I can't see Hill making the 25 man over McGahee or Moore. As mentioned earlier, I don't see where he fits in at Iowa either. He's not going to beat out Patterson at 2nd and one of Moore or McGahee will start at 3rd.

 

My prediction is he asks for his release after ST if he doesn't make the team.

I don't remember "cutting" Bobby Hill. He was involved in a trade in 2003 involving an aging outfielder and someone else I can't remember (probably "bagging groceries" somewhere now anyway). PIT may have "cut" him, but I don't think we did. I could be wrong so please refresh my memory.

While I did not have any personal experiences with Hill, I think most of the "attitude" problems are more an offshoot of the fact that he was drafted in the first or second round and refused to sign. The following year CHC drafted him but he was looked at as "tainted goods."

Oy vey so it's his yamulke flying off ... good, I was afraid it was his teeth.

 

As for Bobby Hill's personality and whether he's cocky or not, I've heard 2 or 3 anecdotal stories that I won't repeat here. But suffice to say if there's even a modicum of truth to these stories then "confident" is a very polite word to describe him.
