love AP. not sure why others don't.

I love him at 3rd string and special teams, not as the primary backup.

Agreed. Love the guy, but not sure if he'd be as productive in full time role.

I wouldn't mind Chris Brown. To me, he's similar to AP, maybe a bit better, but less bruising. 4 RBs is definitely not overkill. Especially since one is primarily a 3rd down back.

Isn't he significantly bigger than Peterson?

I guess the Bears have offered Brown a contract and he'll decide between them and the Titans by Tuesday.

Well, lets see. Do I want to go to a winning team, or the Titans? Seems pretty easy to me :D

It just depends on what you want. TN is his home right now, plus the fact that he could probably become the #1 back for the Titans this year when Lendale White bombs out. Those are tough variables to balance with the pretty good chance to win a SB title with the Bears.

a healthy tommie harris is a must for this team to be a superbowl contender again.

I've been thinking about this, and I don't know that this is all that accurate. The Bears made the Superbowl last year without Tommie. I don't see why they can't do it again. They are still clearly the best team in the NFC. That being said, I think they can get into some trouble if

Tommie gets hurt, Dusty is ineffective, and Tank hasn't made it back from suspension yet. The only player the defense can't do without is Urlacher.

I don't think we'll have to think about life without Tommie, at least not from his prior injury.

I've heard nothing but good things about his recovery. Unless I'm missing something, people are just responding to blind fear that he might not come back because it's a "torn hamstring" (which it apparently really wasn't).

At any rate, he's ahead of schedule on his recovery so I see no reason to believe he won't be alright. He's closer to being ready to play than Tait, who is still out after ankle surgery.

To be fair, he can look at the Bears back up running back job as a potential starting role if Benson gets hurt. And we all know that Benson can get hurt.

Actually, the Titans should be pretty solid this year. I believe they were what, 8-8 last year?

Pretty solid is a big difference from Super Bowl contender though.

They may not be a Super Bowl contender, but they could be a winning team. Things change so quickly in the NFL.

I'm going to try to be there.

I'm going to try and get to the opener myself. I won't know for at least a couple months though.
