When I hear these morons trash the Bears on TV, I naturally am going to be pissed. Every one of these douche bags is an idiot

Give it a rest man

Nope. I kept my mouth shut during the week. I just sat back and listed to how the Saints were going to come into Chicago and light up the BEars, and I just kept it quiet. To think the Aints could actually come into Chicago and get a victory, whatta joke.

If the Saints hadn't shot themselves in the foot and fumbled so many times, they might would have beaten you in Chicago. So why don't you be a humble victor and be thankful that you are going to witness your team in the Super Bowl. There are 30 teams with all their millions of fans who won't get that opportunity.

Shot themselves in the foot? You do realize the Bears caused those turnovers. That is what the Bears do, force teams into mistakes.

The Bears only had 2 FGs and a late TD off the turnovers. I don't think it was close to a given that the Saints would have won w/o the fumbles. The Saints barely had 200 yards on offense outside of the 2 minute drive and the Reggie Bush TD. They had 4 drives with negative yardage while the game was still in doubt.

Totally. Why don't you just admit the Bears beat the Saints fair and square today instead of playing the what if game?

You were the one talking smack all week long "oh the Bears will never stop our offense" and all that.

Give me a break.

Well, Bears played a good game and they deserved the victory. The Saints offense played pretty well though, in spite of the turnovers. Saints only had 3 less 1st downs than the Bears despite the fact that the Bears had the ball over 10:30 minutes longer than the Saints. The Saints are an offensive team, you keep us off the field and you'll win.

Give me a break.

Wow, I come into the thread to offer my congratulations and to say that I'm proud the Bears beat us and not some other team and how I'm going to be pulling for the Bears now.

I was talking smack about the Bears just like y'all were talking smack about the Saints. That's the way things go in pre-game discussions. That's sports.

But after the game is done, that smack talk should cease. From my days of playing collegiate athletics, I learned to take losing in stride and always look at the bright side and to congratulate the victors and be empathetic toward the losers.

Alright, my bad. I saw this one post, and it sounded like you were saying the Bears didn't really win, it was the Saints that lost.

I mean, the score was 39-14-----that would be a ridiculous assertion.

Sorry.

OMC, sorry some people here their their team winning is an excuse to not act like a decent human being and show some common courtesy. The Saints are going to be a good team for a while and they had a fantastic season, and they were in it tonight for most of the game. Good game!

No, it's my bad now. I was a bit touchy. You should go back a few pages and read my initial thoughts on the game. Let's be friends.

America already thinks the Colts are gonna win. On ESPN.com 67% to be exact. Only Illinois and New Hampshire for some reason have Da Bears.

Well, after this season I wouldn't have it any other way.

The Bears are just going to be underdogs, and that's all there is to it.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily agree that they played well. Again, they had the big play and a big 2-minute drive. They had no shot to beat the Bears with the one-dimensional offense they showed. Any team that will throw 52 passes to 12 runs will move the ball. They only had 6.1 yards per pass, and that was with an 85 and 40 yarder. The Bears had 5.5 per in 26 passes, and 15 of them were incomplete. Brees had 8.0 ypa all season.

Once the Saints committed to passing the game was over. THe Bears DLinman pinned their ears back and actually pressured the QB for the first time in months. Didn't Payton even confine in the reporter at halftime that they would try to win primarlly via the pass?
