It was Todd Blackledge. I agree with you that they should have kicked the field goal, but would have been very tempted to go for it. UT hadn't proven we could stop Tony Hunt consistently and a TD probably is the ballgame mentally for the Vols.

Part of this is poor WVU defense, but I have to think it's horrible that Bennett didn't play ahead of Ball earlier in the season.

EDIT #2: After the review, the officials said Irons was down one foot short of the first down marker so it will be fourth down for Auburn.

Exactly, the QB absolutely has to give his receivers a chance to make a play. That time, he didn't and it cost them the game.
