forgive my bias, but is this the first time all season that espn actually got the best game of the week for mnf?

Now that Cincy's playing well again, I'd say so. KC/SD would be the best game if SD hadn't already clinched the division though.

And it might be Rudi Johnson's career rushing game too.

It just occurred to me that the Panthers could finish 5-1 in the division despite the fact that they have next to no chance of making the playoffs. Typically strange of them.

Time for Vince to lead the Titans to within one game of second place in the AFC South!

Never did I think I would be even hopeful that the Titans would have a chance to beat Jax this year, but now I expect a close game and think we have a good shot at a win.

It's a great feeling, even though we're going to miss out on the number one receiver (Ted Ginn or Calvin Johnson) we need so badly.

The draft is so deep in WRs that I wouldn't worry about missing out on Calvin Johnson - Jarrett, Ginn and Meachem should all be in the 8-20 range.

Well a freebie this week. Keeps the slim playoff hopes alive

Go Dallas, Pittsburgh, Giants, and Raiders.

When you're 5-8, there's no such thing as a freebie.

It's stupid how close Roy Williams is to putting up 40 points on you guys.

True I guess, but I've seen Detroit in 3 games this year. They are the worst team in the NFL, period. I've seen Oakland in 3 games too and at least they have a defense. The Lions don't have a D and Kitna is almost as bad as Brooks. The Raiders will at least win one more game this year. The Lions probably won't.

Don't be surprised if the Panthers move up and take Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn with the No. 1 pick. The team is running out of patience with Jake Delhomme.

-- Denver Post

I don't want to say I'd kill for this to happen, but...

I'd KILL for this to happen. I love Delhomme to pieces, but Brady Quinn is my all-time favorite college athlete and it'd be unreal to have him on the Panthers.

They would most likely have to jump over 10 other teams to make that move. Do they have a surplus of picks to play with?

Not that I know of. But they have some tradeable assets. DeShaun Foster is still young and finally has stayed healthy for a full season. Delhomme could always be moved. Drew Carter, our 3rd wideout, is young and talented. We have a surplus of tradeable DBs. And they could always trade a bunch of draft picks too, considering they won't have many players to re-sign after this year and therefore won't have many holes to fill.

(I'm grasping at straws here, I know.)

No offense to the Lions, but the Raiders offense could be one of the worst of all time. The complete and total incompetence of the Raider offense is, at this point in the season, downright hilarious. Nothing about this team surprises me anymore. If the Raiders do manage to win a game, it will be because of the defense.

The Lions offense took another hit today as Kevin Jones is likely to miss the rest of the season.

The Raiders offense is horrible. No QB, a broken down RB, a real sub-par O-line. But I think the defense can win you guys a game against the Rams. I know that's not what you want to hear, but the Rams have been playing about as bad as anyone the last month or so.

Oh it's not what I want to hear but, like I said, nothing suprises me anymore. This state of mind came after the game against Pittsburgh when the Raiders managed 98 yards of offense but still won the game. I don't want them to win any more games but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

whichever team doesn't get brady quinn could get joe thomas from Wisconsin... that's probably a blessing in disguise since both teams have awful offensive lines. It's also possible the Raiders would pick Calvin Johnson, since Porter is on his way out and Moss doesn't want to be there. Arizona has probably screwed themselves out of a shot at Joe Thomas, but they could still get Jake Long from Michigan.

I hope you're right, but I'm afraid Calvin won't drop below top 10 and if we keep winning, we'll be out of that area.

Also, as much as I like Meachem, I doubt he goes above Calvin if Robert decides to leave early.

I didn't mention Calvin because I think he's a top-5 pick. Meachem is with the guys like Ginn and Jarrett, I think.

I see what you were saying in the post now. Sorry about misunderstanding it.

I also doubt Ginn will drop below the top-10 so he's probably ruled out. After those two, with no disrespect for Meachem or Jarrett, I'd just as soon the Titans look at impact ends.

The DEs in the draft are not high first round quality but if the Titans settle in around the teens, somebody like Abiamiri from ND or the kid from Purdue (maybe CubColtPacer or some other Big Ten fan can refresh my memory, I think his last name's Spencer) would look real good.

Not that I wouldn't be happy with a WR, I just think Ginn and Calvin are a level above Meachem and Jarrett.

Carson Palmer's Christmas wishlist!!!!

Individually, three players agreed to share their interesting, and amusing, Christmas "wish lists." Here goes:

Quarterback Carson Palmer

1. The new Kevin Federline CD, Playing with Fire. ("A lot of people don't like K-Fed, but he's all right.")

2. A new tie rack. ("Even guys from Southern California wear ties.")

3. A 10-point LTS crossbow. ("It's a new hobby of mine.")

4. Flavor of Love (Season 1) DVD. ("Flav is very smooth, and funny.")

5. A pingpong table. ("Pingpong is fun and helps your hand-eye coordination.")

I'm a wrestling fan (I realize I may have just lost some credibility, but oh well) and they have Federline in a current storyline. He is terrible, I can't wait for him to get off the air. I am also not a rap fan, but I find his "music" especially annoying.

Sorry for the tangent by the way, just figured I'd throw this out there since he was mentioned.
