TWC and the NWS aren't predicting this, but Skilling believes that we could see record lows on Sunday, as in a high of 15 and a low of 1. There is also a chance of flurries.

I doubt it.

EDIT: The real weather man beat me to it.

No way this can happen. To get a record low you generally need calm winds and clear skies. Chicago won't have either. But yeah, it's gonna be darn cold for that game.

A record low high temp, that is.

Tommie Harris returned to practice today, but it appears as if Leon Joe and Todd Johnson are not expected to play.

As for the Bears/Bucs game in a couple of weeks, FOX is thinking about moving it to 3:15 instead of airing the Eagles/Giants game then (for obvious reasons). They would also bring the Fox pregame show crew to Soldier Field.

Note to Fox, please don't. I have tickets to the game and want the noon start. Plus, keep Buck away from this team.

What the heck is so attractive about a Bears/Bucs game? Everyone knows that the Bucs haven't won a game in freezing weather in countless years. I doubt that's going to change in a few weeks. There has to be some other game that they can go to. Oh yeah, the Packers-49ers game

Except for the fact that in 2002 they beat the Bucs in frozen Champaign and the Eagles in freezing Philly in the NFC championship game en route to the Super Bowl

Does that actually count? They were playing a team that had Henry Burris as the quarterback. Henry Burris. Seriously though, that was a pretty special team that year and I did forget about that game against the Eagles.

There's no way that this year's Bucs team will go into Soldier Field and win. I'd put a good chunk of money on it.

Awesome.

haha I love that image

Looks like the top of the skyscraper is spearing the bear in the chest and it's crying in pain

I thought the message initially was that the Bears rule NY after the sweep of the two NYC teams.

Tampa might just cancel the trip. I don't think they have winter jackets, or a place in Tampa to buy them

18 degrees with a windchill of 5 at kickoff. The windchill may not get out of the single digits all game.

NICE! Just scored a ticket to the game, courtesy of NSBB member jmajew

have fun and don't get frostbite!

If I lived through 7 hours of tailgating and a 3 hour game for the Atlanta game last year (8 degrees was the high), I think I will make it through this!

Does anybody think the Bears are not a good bad weather team with the speed oriented defense?

I think they're bad with bad footing - Snow or Rain. If they can't get good footing they are going to get pushed around (see: Steelers last year).

Cold, I think they are fine.

It's 9 right on the lakefront right now.

Instead of saying crap like this, why don't you actually bring some proof?

Their performance against the Falcons last year makes me think that homefield advantage outweighs whatever negativity the weather brings...if its anything.

Nobody seems worried about this game. I think it's going to be tougher than it looks.

Soul you've always worried too much.

Ever since last year.

Agreed.

Although the Giants game did help me pause about those worries.

Not a cloud in the sky.

As expected, Todd Johnson is out today. Chris Harris will start at safety.

Wow, the Vikings haven't won a road game after November since 1999.

Jesus.

Make that an outdoor game after November since 1999. They have beaten the Lions in Detroit a couple of times recently in December.

It's a few mins before I have to leave to go to my buddies house so I'll make some predictions:

Grossman: 22/32 265 2td 0 int (Feeling a bounce back game here)

T Jones: 22/85

CBenson: 12/55 1TD

Berrian: 4/95 TD

Moose: 8/105 TD

I will critique later. Feel free to savage me during the game as you see fit.

Enjoy the game!
