Well that pretty well settles it. It wasn't just Brady Quinn that was being protected by bogus late-hit calls, that's definitely a nationwide epidemic by now.

Great play call and run, but that's a pretty bogus late hit call.

 

Well, actually, he was clearly going out of bounds. Still questionable.

 

He just ran along the sideline and got extra yards just before that.

He just ran along the sideline and got extra yards just before that.

Right before the hit, he changed his course and made a clear move to go out of bounds. But you can't really blame the defensive player in that position for diving like that.

Yeah, I just don't like those pseudo-late hit calls. "Late hit out of bounds"

 

BS.

 

UCLA still can't close the deal though. Left the door open for USC to win it.

Right before the hit, he changed his course and made a clear move to go out of bounds. But you can't really blame the defensive player in that position for diving like that.

 

Exactly. That call drives me loco. A QB acts like he's going out of bounds and then turns in....it's unfair to the n'th degree.
