Florida has no business playing in this game.

"No Business?" How? Maybe you think UM is better but I doubt it's a big enough gap to think that Flordia has "No Buisiness" being the National Championship game.

This is why they either have to ALL have conference championship game or none have them.

If Wisconson gets a chance against OSU in a title game and beat them then it's Florida vs Wisconson.

Florida has no business playing in this game.

Actually a Big 10 title game would have featured an OSU-UM rematch. Both UM and UW had 1 loss in conference and UM beat UW.

I think it is pretty well stated that the majority of the voters switched due to not wanting to see a rematch.

IMO, you do what you've always done when voting. noone ever bounces one team over another in the high rankings when the bouncee is idle. the voters justify their incumbancy voting year after year, only to change their mind because their buddies on the tv box are saying they don't want a rematch.

perhaps Florida has a substantive argument in deserving to be there, but procedurally, this is like making it illegal to pee in the bushes after you pull up your zipper.

but the Big 10 would certainly have OSU and UM on one division, and UW would probably be in the other division.

When DeWayne Walker was contacted about turning around one of the worst defenses in college football, he received advice from many colleagues.

One was his former boss, USC coach Pete Carroll. And in describing UCLA's defense, Carroll apparently did not hold back.

According to sources outside of UCLA, Carroll's assessment of the Bruins' defense was brutal, if not brutally honest, as he told Walker the Bruins' defense was soft and needed an upgrade in talent before it could be fixed and advised Walker not to take the job.

Walker, who was a defensive backs coach with the Washington Redskins, accepted the challenge anyway, shunning a larger NFL paycheck to become UCLA's defensive coordinator.

Walker declined comment about what Carroll said, saying it was a private conversation. "I spoke with a lot of people, and I received positive and negative feedback," Walker said. "Ultimately, I decided it was something I wanted to do. I could have stayed in the NFL, but one of the reasons I came back to college was to work with a guy like coach (Karl) Dorrell."
