You underestimate them FAR more than I may overestimate them. 62-0 OSU over WVU? Please. It did give me a good laugh though. We'll see once bowl season rolls around.

That goes for Wisconsin too.

Well WVU would score, but it would be a blow out. WVU defense is extremely suspect.

And dont dis Wisky. We are 11-1, with our only loss to Big Blue in AA. We only lose 4 starters next year, and just under 75% of our team is underclassmen.

PJ Hill became only the 7th Freshman ever to rush for 1500 yds, and Wisconsin became the first school to have 2- Ron Dayne was our other.

Here's how I think the BCS is going to look:

Fiesta Bowl - Oklahoma (Big 12) vs. Boise State (at large)

Rose Bowl - USC (Pac-10) vs. Florida (at large)

Sugar Bowl - ND (at large) vs. Arkansas (SEC)

Orange Bowl - Georgia Tech (ACC) vs. West Virginia (Big East)

National title game - OSU (Big 10) vs. Michigan (at large)

I think Florida will lose to Arkansas in the title game, ND will beat USC, and that will necessitate the voters choosing between an OSU/Mich rematch and an ND/Mich rematch. Gee, I wonder what they'll choose.

I'm glad for you.

You know, that you won't have to find out how much you overestimate those Big East ballclubs.

Actually they have 1 automatic in now, so they will likely draw the USC/ND loser.

I suppose anything could happen, but I'd be shocked if they can hang with ND/USC. That goes for any of the 3: Rutgers/Louisville/WVU.

It would be, but thankfully we won't have to see it. I watched both those clubs play this year quite a bit. They don't belong on the same field as OSU, Michigan, ND, USC for a national title. In fact, there isn't a Big East ballclub that could go through the SEC, Big 10, or Pac 10 with fewer than 3 conference losses.

Like I said, thankfully the voters realize this and WVU won't be in the discussion, nor will Louisville or Rutgers.

The fact that you think a WVU/OSU game wouldn't be a blowout in OSU's favor is simply insane. I appreciate your opinion and all, but I think it's out in left field with all due respect.

Drugs are bad Soul. I would recommend quitting.

Wow, that 62-0 really got under your skin didn't it. I was just using it to illustrate the point that it would be a blowout.

You underestimate Wisconsin, my friend. With Stocco and Hill 100%, they'll have a good showing in the Cap One bowl, even if it's a SEC club.

I'm pretty sure Cuse said in this thread that Louisville would score 80 on both of these teams. And while I know Cuse to be the biggest Big East Homer I've ever seen, I'm pretty sure he was exaggerating the same way Soul is.

Amazing how fast people turned on Tate and Young this year, all they did was play oft-injured with little help, and not say a word about it. Tate barks at people on the field, but he never calls a guy out to the press - and with how pathetic some of our seniors have been, they deserve it. I suppose Ferentz needs to take a page out of the Baker handbook and blame injuries more.

I guess I have a different view from knowing some of the players personally. Tate's ego has reached new levels over the past year or so. He often tries playing the good samaritan role by playing nice to the media, but he is extremely critical and quick to point fingers behind closed doors. He had a world of talent, but he failed to harness that talent.

Now, in his defense, I will also say that a lot of it was spoon fed to him by people within the program. His sometimes prima donna actions are the direct result of being put on a pedestal and given the "face of Iowa football" moniker a little too early. He had a lot of successes at an early age, and it definitely took its toll on him.

If Arkansas wins out, I'd put them in the NC. However, I'm hoping LSU derails them.

I might too, but I don't think UM will fall far enough for Arkansas to catch them.

And i was wrong earlier, WVU was eliminated by virtue of Cincy's Win tonight. When RU/WVU get together, RU gets the bid if they win and Louisville goes if WVU wins.

So whomever it is, i think they will play NDU in the Orange Bowl.

Louisville would forfeit at halftime.

Just like they did against Rutgers.

In that case:

Fiesta Bowl - Oklahoma (Big 12) vs. Boise State (at large)

Rose Bowl - USC (Pac-10) vs. Florida (at large)

Sugar Bowl - ND (at large) vs. Arkansas (SEC)

Orange Bowl - Georgia Tech (ACC) vs. Louisville (Big East)

National title game - OSU (Big 10) vs. Michigan (at large)

- The Big 10 and Pac-10 champs are contracted with the Rose Bowl, the Big 12 champs with the Fiesta, the SEC with the Sugar, and the ACC with the Orange. The first pick of the other eligible teams goes to whatever bowl(s) lose their contracted teams to the title game, then it goes Sugar/Orange/Fiesta.

- The Rose Bowl will get the first pick since they lost OSU to the title game, but they won't want a USC/ND rematch (and they can't take Wisconsin to recreate the Big 10/Pac-10 rematch, which they say they'll do whenever possible), so they'll take Florida.

- Then the Sugar Bowl picks, and they'll take ND.

- Then the Orange, who will take Louisville.

- Then the Fiesta will be stuck with Boise State.

It's going to be hard for Oklahoma to win the Big 12 considering the Championship game is Texas-Nebraska.

Alright, sub in Texas.

I have it a bit different.

NC- OSU v USC

Rose- Mich v Fla

Sugar- Ark v Tex

Orange- NDU v Louisville

Fiesta- Ga Tech v Boise St.

I have USC going ahead of UM next week with a victory over NDU and UCLA the following week. I think Fla will beat Ark in the SEC Champ and Tex beats Nebraska in the Big 12. I think the folks at the Sugar Bowl would rather see a matchup of a classic regional rivalry rather than Notre Dame.

Not yet. If OU beats Oklahoma State and aTm beats Texas, OU wins the South.

They probably would, but the Big 12 champ is contracted to play in the Fiesta Bowl unless they make the national title game. Texas would have to play in the Fiesta.

Stupid USC. :x

UCLA goes into Tempe and beats ASU 24-12. :) The Bruins defense is so awesome - and only one senior. Now the Bruins are bowl eligible - USC up next in Pasadena in a few weeks.

The Bruins dedicated the game to Marcus Cassell, a starting cornerback for the Bruins last year in his senior year, who passed away in a single-car accident in Santa Monica yesterday.

Wisconsin is more unproven than both Louisville and WVU and has a weaker schedule as well.

Sagarin's SOS confirms it. Coming into this week Louisville was 24, WVU was 43 and Wisconsin was 60.

It should be an extremely exciting game when ND comes into Pasadena next year.

I hope you guys beat USC.

I don't think it would be a blowout. Louisville has a very good all around offense and WVU has the Slaton/White combination. They would put up more than enough points to stay competative.

Good point, forgot they added that tie in with the new 2 auto bids.

Yay DeSean Jackson!

Of course USC has a different story on the DSJ recruiting...but they're trying to save face.

Can you help me verify if this picutre of jackson is of him in a USC shirt?

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/14/144851m.JPG

Yeah, it is a USC t-shirt. He was a no-doubt Trojan till USC effed up the pooch.

I don't really remember the story on that one. Care to fill me in.

Sorry, I had to run...hope you see this.

DeSean wanted to go to USC but he also hit it off with Tedford. He chose USC but the the Trojans wanted DeSean to commit early and he didn't want to. He asked to be a silent commit (something USC has done for other players) and they agreed, but it was leaked soon after. He was mad at USC and immediately commited to Cal.

I don't think it's new. Texas making the national title game last year enabled the Fiesta Bowl to have the first at-large selection and then the third also, which is how they scored the OSU/ND matchup.
