Does anybody think that Brady Quinn could possibly catch Troy Smith in the Heisman race now if Troy has a bad day against Michigan and Brady has a good day against USC? After today, Brady has about 500 more yards passing, 3 more TDs passing, 1 more TD running

Smith leads him with 1 less INT, about 170 more yards rushing (although that is hurt bigtime by how many sacks Quinn takes, which in college is counted in rushing yards) and a little better completion percentage.

So what do you think?

I hope not. Brady is piling up great numbers against turds like UNC. That shouldn't count for much.

Who has Troy put his numbers up against?

Edit: That was a little rash, I'm just saying that Brady has had 1 terrible game and all the rest good to great, and Troy has had 2 bad games and all the rest good to great. If Troy has 1 more bad game and Brady doesn't, then I think those 3 bad games are worth more than 1 terrible game.

The way Michigan has played recently, they don't deserve the #2 ranking. Unless something big changes and changes quickly they are going to get hammered by Ohio State.

Wrong. Neither OSU or UM gets hammered in that game. OSU won by 7 today against Illinois today, better knock them down too. UM played very conservatively against NU last week in gail force winds and today they put up 507 total yards, 355 on the ground. They blew it on 3 plays. 2 long bombs and one pick six. The final 2 TDs for BSU were against 2 and 3rd stringers when they were up 31-12. It was closer than it should of been.

Hmmm...the worst team in the Big East scored 31 points when they played at Illinois.

Rutgers is the worst team in the Big East? Either way, Illinois is playing almost all freshman so its clear they aren't the same team as they were at the beginning of the season.

And despite 2 bad games, Troy Smith is undefeated, and he had really good games in their hardest matchups (@Texas and @Iowa). Brady Quinn's bad game came in a blowout loss. Unless O$U loses to Michigan, Smith should get it.

boy, if I ever did an NCAA fantasy league, I think I'd automatically pick whoever is playing QB for Hawai'i. His numbers through 9 games this year:

3,347 yards passing, 39 TDs, 6 INT

counting the bowl, he'll probably throw for over 5000 yards and nearly 60 TDs! Insane.

Is June "Run-N-Shoot" Jones still their coach?

I think that Michigan is kind of famous for this type of game. In the last couple of years their defense was bad enough to let their opponents come back on them. When it mattered their defense showed up and stopped BSU. I also think they have been holding back their offense for the OSU game. I am not saying that they are going to win but they will certainly play at a higher level against OSU. They also will stomp Louisville if given the opportunity.

I don't recall anybody saying he was gonna be an NFL star.

I've figured out the difference-Texas doesn't make the huge mistakes that have absolutely killed Ok State so far. 17-0 Texas after a fumble on the kickoff led to an easy score.
