Wow, I missed a great one tonight! Mizzou holds on to win 72-68! Now they're 6-7 in conference play and if Texas beats Texas Tech tonight they are somehow 5th in the Big 12. [/hopeless optimism that they somehow sneak into the Big Dance]

Keon is nails, what a dagger this shot was.

Keon is ridiculous. What an incredible backcourt duo we're gonna have next year with Hannah again and Keon will a full year under his belt.

I didn't see it, but apparently during the MSU-UW game they panned to the crowd at Rupp Arena, where someone had a sign that read "Tim Hardaway hates LSU".

Ok, I've gotta admit, that's good.

Any chance ND randomly ends up in Chicago as a 6 seed or something to get the home court, like in 2003 when the committee basically extended a large middle finger to 4 seed Illinois by putting 5 seed ND in their Indianapolis pod?

RPI's import is greatly exaggerated. I'm not so sure why everyone focuses on it, especially in light of the recent articles that showed it wasn't a mjor consideration when selecting teams.

I believe it's simply used to stratify opponents (ie. top 50, top 100, top 200), so the committee can see how a team fared against certain levels of competition.

I really hope SIU gets their first two games at Chicago.

ND's an 8 seed in the new Bracketology and are slotted in Chicago with Wisconsin right now. If they actually do end up in Chi-town, I'm going to try to go.

Penn State went on a 14-2 run to take an eight point lead over Ohio State in the first half in Columbus.

don't worry ohio state will still win by double digits.

In other news, Holy Cross took care of Colgate (not the toothpaste) in an easy home win... last challenge left is at Lehigh on Saturday. They're not bad... only trailing Bucknell by about 5 late in the 2nd half. My dad will be there to cheer our Crusaders on!

Must game tonight in Champaign between Michigan and Illinois if either wants into the big dance.

By the way, this is the first senior night at Illinois where I'm not the least bit sad. I'll be glad to see Warren Carter and Richard McBride gone. Oh yeah, Marcus Arnold, too. And if you're asking, "Who?" That's my point.

Warren Carter has finally worked his way into my good graces after 3 years of just despising everything about him. He still does travel once per game 25 feet away from the basket though, which is about the most infuriating thing to watch next to this team's free throw shooting.

Does anybody actually have ESPNU? We had it in our sports package down at schoo, but that's the only way I know of anybody getting it.

Very few. To be honest, I seldom see anything on there I would want to see. It's about on the same level as VS -- and I get that (not like I watch it though).

Our cable company (COX) added ESPNU to the sports package in late November because they were scheduled to cover two Kansas and a couple of Kansas State basketball games. ESPNU is not bad. If you're expecting the caliber of ESPN or ESPN2 you're going to be disappointed. But if you like college athletics, no matter the level, then you'll like it.

Illinois wins it by 12 effectively eliminating Michigan.

I sure hope we win our last two games then at least one in the Big Ten tourney Man, it's been a long time since we've entered the big dance as a #11 or lower seed, but if we lose two of the next three (one of the last two and the first B10 tourney game) we may be lucky to get that.
