Mizzou had a bad day shooting and made some poor decisions with the ball, but the defensive pressure and free throw shooting late secure a 6 point win against Davidson. Next up is Stephen F. Austin the night of the kU football game.

Ball State cruises to a 65-48 win over Prairie View A&M in the first round of the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational. This team can play some defense. Next up is Chattanooga at home in game two of the invite before that Kansas/WKU double tilt on Friday and Saturday.

The Missouri Tigers are now 5-0. NIT here we come.

Have you made it to the Arena for a game yet? They really look 100% better this year, especially Lyons and Lawrence. I had no idea what to expect coming in, but after 5 games I wouldn't be surprised if we were a bubble team(and also not surprised if we weren't anywhere near the bubble).

I'm real anxious for the Arkansas, Purdue, and Illinois games to see how we stack up against some truly quality opponents.

Iowa lost to #10 Alabama 72-60 in the Paradise Jam. It was an encouraging loss though.

We were getting open looks all night but shot 7-30 from 3. Adam Haluska is going through a slump like he's never seen. He's 4-28 in the two games in the Paradise Jam and most of them have been good shots. Looby and Tate both were in foul trouble all night so our thin front line was really stretched thin. Tyler Smith scored 19 tonight (plus 7 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals) following up his 28 point performance against Toledo on Friday. He's been even better than expected. He just plays so smart.

Alabama is friggin good. Incredible athleticism. Steele is an All-America PG, they got their all-SEC center back tonight and this Gee kid was their best player tonight with 21 points. I have no idea how Iowa stayed in that game when they shot that poorly and had their bigs in foul trouble.

I haven't yet, but I'm looking forward to it after break. I may go to the Coppin St. game after the kU game on Saturday. I like what Anderson has done so far.

4-0 without our three best players. We played the same team, Georgia Southern, as Duke and they beat them by 25 we only got them by 35. They are ranked number 11. We aren't ranked at all. I hope that changes soon.

Hopefully the fans show up for the Arkansas game. The attendance has, understandably, been pathetic at Mizzou arena this year (not that I'm helping out any), but I will head over for the Arkansas game on the 30th.

They flip over to the Duke game that already got underway just in time to see a hilariously bad flop by Duke get called a charge. Let's go Falcons.

I'd like to watch a Duke practice when they fake those flops.

UK vs. the Blue Demons in two hours, I'll watch it, but it's tough rooting for one team while rooting against the other.

Can either of them get past UCLA tomorrow ?

I'm hoping Tech ends up against UCLA on Wednesday. They looked strong in the second half. They are so deep which should help the next two games.

Georgetown lost to Old Dominion last night. Strange that both top-10 teams on Ball State's schedule (we play Kansas on Friday and G-town on Monday) went down within a few days of each other. I guess we won't be sneaking up on them.

UT-Chattanooga tomorrow at home. Go Cards.

Iowa got thumped by Villanova 89-60 tonight in the 3rd place game for the Paradise Jam. They played horribly in every facet of the game. Defense was awful and 'Nova couldn't miss a 3 (started 14-24). When 'Nova did miss, they got offensive rebounds. We had 25 turnovers or so and still didn't shoot very well.

I knew there would be nights like this early on with this team. Just have to hope they continue to improve and play more like they did in the first three games than they did tonight.

DePaul played competitive tonight...gives me hope that they will be in the running for an NIT bid

I really wish they would've won this one. They could've used a big win after the offense decided not to show up for the first two games. Nothing against Northwestern and Bradley, they played tough. But those are games DePaul should've won.

Seriously. As an avid UNC fan, I've seen many of them, and it's absolutely ridiculous. The most absurd call I've seen, though, was in a Duke-Georgia Tech game when Redick literally grabbed Jarrett Jack and yanked on his jersey in what arguably should have been a flagrant foul, and they called the foul on Jack, sending Redick to the line in the final minutes of a close game. Man I was mad.

I'm glad that Shelden Williams' elbows will no longer be an issue, though.

UCLA beats Chaminade 88-63 in Maui. :) Up next, Kentucky tomorrow.

UCLA is going to thump UK :?

Unfort., I'm inclined to say the chances of UK beating UCLA are not good.

UCLA looked really sloppy yesterday and Howland was rather pissed. I'm worried about Randolph Morris vs. Mata and Aboya.

Depends which Morris shows up, more times than not he'll be soft.
