Is it wrong for me to want the Bulls to play the Nets in round 1 so that my Game 5 tickets mean something? If they play the Wizards, its going to be a sweep. If we play the Nets, we will win in 5 probably.

I think it's still plenty of rest if we win in 5. Besides, I like the idea of having a token loss in there......just to keep it in the back of everyone's mind that they need to play 100% every game.

I played with the scenario generator on ESPN this weekend. Its very likely based on current won-loss records that the Knicks' pick (now belonging to the Bulls) will amount to the 6th on the high end and the 9th on the low end. I didn't get even one scenario where the Bulls had anything higher than 5. They have almost no chance of getting one of the top three picks.

I have a question that may very well have been answered in this post but I don't want to dig through 180 pages to find it.

Why are the Bull currently 2nd seed and Cavs 5th? They are 2nd and 3rd in their division and in their conference record also. Does winning a division not guarantee a top 3 spot? If not they why are the Cavs 5th?

Winning your division guarantees a top 4 spot. The top 4 spots (the 3 division winners and the team with the best record that didn't win their division) are then arranged by record.

The Bulls hold the tiebreaker over the Cavs in head to head meetings.

A division title guarantees a Top 4 seed, not top 3 (but does not guarantee home court advantage). Detroit is #1, with chicago/cleveland #2 based on having the 2nd best record in the conference. The #3 Central team would be #5 because the Atlantic and Southeast winners get top 4 seeds automatically. Chicago/Cleveland at #5 would have homecourt over the #4 seed, however, due to a better overall record

Three division winners are assured top 4 seeds. This avoids situations where top two records in the conference would meet in the second round (1 vs 4 seed)

That's odd. In 20 spins last night, I saw the Bulls winning the number 1 pick twice, the 2nd pick once, and the third pick once. Oden, Durant, Horford were the picks. Must just be luckier than you are.

In all seriousness, I'll happily take a 4% change at Oden, and a top 10 pick in this stacked draft is very valuable. Bulls end up with Brandon Wright a lot in ESPN's mock, for instance.

I did it about 25 times, got a #1, and few #2's and a bunch of #3's

I'd be PSYCHED to get Brandan Wright. He's like a very slightly less athletic but more polished version of Tyrus Thomas. He'll be a very good pro.

He would get burried on the Bulls bench.

Hibbert please.

Eh, I'm not too impressed with Hibbert. Sure he has height, but height isn't everything. He gets in foul trouble very frequently and a lot of his points, that I saw, came from putbacks.

I've been on the Horford bandwgn for quite some time.

Wright gets compared to LaMarcus Aldridge a lot. I see that more than Tyrus.

Brandan Wright's consistency and polish worry me. He's got incredible upside, but a guy like him should have put up better numbers than he did over the course of the season.

I'd take Oden or Horford over him without question. I'd love to have Durant, but it'd be impossible to get enough playing time for him given this team's lineup. I'd seriously debate trading down if the Bulls get the 2 for that reason.

You can always find playing time for a guy of Durant's ability.

The Nets beat the Knicks 104-95. Minnesota leads Denver 55-51 late 2nd, but Utah is beating Portland 60-41.

Posey had to leave the game tonight with a sprained wrist and shoulder. Everyone feel sorry for him.

ESPN has the Bulls selecting Brandon Wright in the 6, 7 slot. He'd be a great value there. If given the chance, I'm sure the Bulls would select Oden, Durant and Horford before Brandon.

If Oden declares, I can't see any team trading out of the top two spots in the draft for any price, including the Bulls.

Nocioni well before Deng, and Thabo well before Noc.

No. Nocioni's a restricted free agent and everything I've read points to Pax intending on keeping him.
