What's with all the TBAs?

Once we get further into the season and especially into conference contracts, the times aren't set to allow for changes to facilitate TV. For example, Mizzou plays at 1 CST this weekend, and then the only other game they don't have a TBA for is the Thanksgiving weekend game against Kansas(which has already been set for TV since there aren't any alternative games).

Practically the first time on national TV for Northwestern and it will be in primetime on Friday night. It certainly won't be an easy game. The offensive line needs to remember that they were supposed to be good.

Definitely a must-win for the 'Cats.

Should be an easy win for Mizzou this week. I said at the beginning of the year that we could and should be 4-0 going into conference play, and it's looking good for us.

OU isn't bad though. They handled NIU and they've got Solich(has he ever lost to Mizzou?). On the other hand we've got home field and they couldn't move the ball at all against Rutgers. I expect a smaller margin than Ole Miss, but not as close a game as UNM. We score 27-31, they get 6 or 7.

If our defense wasn't stupid good, I might be kind of worried. With our D, I don't see us out of any game.

ND State is ranked 17th in Division 1-AA - one spot behind S. Illinois, who just beat the Hoosiers. And they've handled their first two opponents very easily. If the Cards aren't careful, they could easily lose this game.

If the Irish lose to Michigan State again, I'm going to go ballistic.

My weekly post:

NIU should handle Indiana St. The Sycs have lost 24 straight games, and many of those losses were in I-AA competition. They lost to Murray State by 21, a pretty subpar I-AA school. If NIU doesn't get 60, something is seriously wrong. Oh and even though NIU beat Buffalo by 18, Phil Horvath is still a very bad quarterback.

SIU should have a walk in the park against Arkansas Pine-Bluff. As long as the coaching staff makes sure we don't have letdown after the big win in Bloomington, we should win by a couple of TD's, at minimum.

Illinois...well, hopefully Juice gets the start. Other than that, that's probably the only positive coming from the Illini this season.

Derwood I am glad you said it. I think Penn St is going to get hammered.

I hope Mich St can beat ND. I just dont think its going to happen. ND certainly will play a much improved game this week. I am glad that Michigan St hasnt been ranked yet though. I think they are going to surprise one of the big 3 in the next month. My beat is Ohio St

I don't know about Ohio. They beat NIU pretty easily, but they looked like crap in their first game, and yesterday. Judging by you guys on here, it seems like Mizzou has a good QB, something NIU currently lacks (unless we ever start Dan Nicholson). You guys should be able to handle the Cats, but definitely don't underestimate them. I did and I saw what happened to the Huskies.

Hopefully UC Davis will be able to continue it's I-AA dominance this year against Youngstown State leading up to their game of the year at Cal Poly on October 7.

Yeah, I'm a little nervous about the game. We should win by a couple touchdowns at least, by I'm never going to underestimate the potential for a Mizzou dud game. Anyways, hopefully the Tigers play better than they did against UNM. If they do, it should be an easy victory. And maybe the fans will actually show up for this game.

Stupid bold prediction, whatever the spread is, U of I covers against Iowa. I expect a nonsensical bounce back game, where they keep it close until late in the 4th.

It's 21.5 already so I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they cover. It always seems like it's super windy at Champaign when we play there. I'm not quite as worried after seeing that Syracuse handled them fairly well at home on Saturday.

Iowa and OSU should take of business this weekend, setting up a big matchup on the 30th at Kinnick. #1 vs. #12 or so, primetime game on ABC, Gameday coming to town...

Why is Gameday going to Columbus this weekend? I thought they were going to have to go wherever Herbstreit was doing his game. Are they just going to have his portions from East Lansing or is he flying to Michigan right after the show?

That would be strange if they went to OSU games 3 out of 4 weeks. Iowa/OSU will be the biggest game next week provided they both win, and they've already picked out a location and begun marking things out.
