I like Joniak too. They had his call of Hester's TD on ESPN and I nearly got chills.

That's just it. I get more excited than I otherwise might because of their technique. I'm glad that they seem to know what they are talking about and keep itabout football but they really make it fun to listen.

Jeff is able to paint the excitement and power and energy of the game with his voice even more than his words. It's kinetic not intellectual.

Anyway, I like them.

I love them too. They are wonderful to listen to when you are a raging homer like I am. I usually mute the TV and listen to the radio team.

Me too.

I love listening to them as well. I wish I could get them down here in Columbia.

Bold prediction: Bears win a low scoring game thanks to special teams or turnovers. Our offense leaves something to be desired, and their defense looked pretty good against Seattle. Seattle's strong point is their offense, their defense is not as good. Detroit only managed 2 field goals against them. I'm not going to predict another shutout, but we'll keep them out of the endzone. Our D will be too much for them.

MNF went nuts over a few of Randle-El' punt returns, made me think of Devin Hester' TD yesterday. I would have liked to see Randle-El' in Blue and Orange but, I rather have Hester returning punts. If Hester gets by the initial wave of tacklers, he's gone, its 6, don't think Randle-El is that kind of a return threat.

I was disappointed they traded down and didn't take a tight end with their original pick. Hester did alot to make me forget about that yesterday :D

Well let's hope he keeps it up. I'm still cautiously optimistic. Cubs syndrome I call it.

I guess its easy for Turner and Grossman to say this after the fact, but apparently Grossman's ill advised pass into the end zone in the first quarter yesterday that was intercepted was actually intended to end up in the stands as Grossman was trying to throw the ball away. Instead, Grossman was apparently hit as he threw, taking zip off the pass and putting it into the end zone where it was easily intercepted.

Early prediction:

Bears win 16-7

Roy Williams disagrees. He guaranteed a Lions' victory.

I love how he backed off soon after.

Some of those quotes in that article make me think he's mentally [expletive].

“When we play the way we’re supposed to play, like our defense played the way they did Sunday … I don’t think there’s no team in this league that can beat us.”

What the hell's he smoking?

I didn't see the play on replay, but was his arm really hit as he threw?

I don't think they were claiming his arm was hit, just his body, which can greatly affect the trajectory of any pass.

I thought Grossman was trying to throw the ball away, it also appeared as he threw, he was hit low, as played developed, I was shouting throw it away Rex!!!

I found the his claim that they were this close to scoring 40 pts pretty funny as well...

Devin Hester is the best punt returner in the NFL.

It may very well have been the case. I just saw the replay and not only was he being pushed down from his upper body (cause his upper body to fall backwards before his legs moved, effecting the trajectory) but he made a very quick throw like a QB would if he was trying to get rid of the ball.

He still should have put more on the throw, though.

And will be for a very long time. Hopefully in a Bears uniform too.
