To me, the defensive lines decide it. Ours is deep, fast, and talented, and theirs is young. That means we're going to be able to get pressure to keep Schaeffer uncomfortable(we fans need to introduce him to road life in Division I too) and keep Green-Ellis from going nuts. On the other side, after watching what Memphis was able to do, I like Temple to have another strong day, and Daniel's accuracy to carry the air game.

 

At least that's what I'm telling myself. Either way, it should be a fun atmosphere tomorrow.

I can already tell that BSU-IU is the biggest game of my four years here, and I'm only a junior. Everyone here is jacked beyond recognition for the game and there's a better than good chance that over 2/3 of the student body will be attending, which would shatter the previous record for student attendance (2004 against Boston College).

College football saturday is such a great way to party. Tomorrow we are going to party our asses off. First we are going to watch the ever so entertaining Michigan/CMU game, which will hopefully be boring come mid 3rd quarter, but you never know. We just want to drink beers, chill and go outside a play some bocce ball, we dont need no unneeded tension of a silly football game while 'chasing that jack'. Then the PSU/ND and of course the OSU/UT game at night.

 

Now the the big game tomorrow night. Dont be surprised that after the game the Downtown Athletic Club hands Troy Smith the Heismann trophy there on the spot. Really...don't.

Smith may yet win the Heisman but I don't think this will be the game that does it. He'll have to outscore Texas if their NIU game was any indication of their defense.

As critical as I am of the UK football program, that U of I team is about equal as far as futility. That 1st quarter was one of the worst in every aspect of the game. I can't remember a game where a team allowed a TD on offense, defense, and ST in the same quarter.

Yeah, it's been pretty fugly. Having grown up watching Northwestern football and spent my college years watching KU football, I'm used to seeing some awful play, though. I don't really care for UI, but I still think Zook will make them respectable.
