I watched almost the entire LA-NY match last night. Its probably stating the obvious, but 3 players were clearly the best on the pitch: Beckham, Alitdore, and Angel. I'm so excited to watch Altidore grow into an even better player.

 

Beckham is a monster. His passing is so crisp and the free kicks he assisted on were beautiful, while the NY defense on them was atrocious. 66,000 people were there to watch it to.

correct, the ref didn't handle it very well. he held the yellow up right in front of essien but apparently it was directed at terry who was behind essien but out of the cameraview. as the yellow card was raised, essien grabbed his head in disbelief to make it appear it was given to him.

So what the heck happened to his knee? That was an odd injury. Dissapointing to hear about Dempsey missing a sitter. Hopefully he can get back on track.

He was nowhere near the incident. The referee points to the corner of the area, and Terry was in the middle of the pitch. He's just covering himself.

Holy crap I just saw it. Great presence on the ball. if you want to see the major difference between Eddie Johnson and Altidore, it's demonstrated perfectly in the goal.

Its nice to finally have a forward with speed, size and strength. I would love to see him go to a big club, but he just needs to play everyday. Playing for Liverpool would be sweet and I think next year he could almost go ahead of Kuyt and Crouch, two guys I have never really liked but I don't know enough about Ryan Babel. Playing along side of Torres and in front of Gerrard, Alonso, and Riise would be cool.

 

I don't see Chelsea or ManU working out.
