I watched the presentation and it was kind of embarrassing. Landon is not a charismatic guy who can talk well. Clinton seemed hungover and/or completely disinterested and was apparently trying to guilt everybody into voting for the USA because of all the good he's done personally since leaving office. And the whole thing was just about money, which while nice, should probably be a little more subtle.

Let us also not forget they're an authoritarian monarchy that practices Islamic law (mostly). On a scale of one to seven (one being the best), they're a six for political rights and five for civil liberties by Freedom in the World. Democracy Index describes them as an authoritarian regime, just slightly ahead of the likes of Iran. (IRAN!). They also have easily, easily, the worst soccer team of any of the prospective hosts.
