I didn't see the second half. Is the Bradley red card worth contesting and trying to get him reinstated for Brazil?

To an untrain eye like myself, it look like a good clean tackle. So, IMO it's worth contesting. Maybe those who follow the game much longer then I can give you a better answer.

maybe a yellow, probably not even that. Hard challenge, both feet down, hit the ball first.

WFT.

Larrionda is quickly becoming a US Soccer legendary antagonist.

agreed. i thought he clearly got the ball before any contact was made. but as mentioned that's three red so far, hopefully that doesn't develop into a reputation and referees become even quicker in pull one out.

As seth said, at worst that's a yellow and probably should have just been a foul.

I thought Kljestan's red against Brazil was weak, but this one was worse.

[expletive] me. I couldn't avoid the game being spoiled and my DVR recorded it blank. Had to settle for youtube...

We're going to need a lot of help.

Netherlands is in and Brazil, Spain and England are all but in.

Germany is in first place in their group, ahead of Russia by a point, though they do have to go to Russia.

Italy is a point up on Ireland with a game in hand.

France is in second place, eight points back, but with two games in hand so they'll at least get into a playoff. Argentina's in fourth, 2 pts up on 5th and four up on 6th. Top 4 get in and No. 5 goes into a playoff with CONCACAF No. 4.

Not that it's likely to happen, but I'd love to see an Argentina-Mexico playoff to get into the World Cup. I'd pull for Mexico if it meant us getting a seed.

At this point it's more about hoping for a good draw, a-la 2002.

Given the way the seeds match up right now, the US could end up in a potential nightmare draw with a seeded European team plus the Netherlands and an unseeded CONMEBOL team like Paraguay.

And if that ends up being the case, hopefully we get a 2002 draw rather than a 2006 draw.

If France manages a #1 seed I would like to be in their group.

So did Gooch sign already? I would think his value has gone up with his performance so far.

The transfer window doesn't open until July 1st, so nothing is finalized until then.

Just finished my DVR

HolyHoly crap.

I can't believe that happened. The back four were STRONG

That was the worst red I've ever seen. Larrionda is terrible. That wasn't studs up, he got the ball, he got there on time. Horrid.

Deuce shut Harkes the F up again.

I can't believe that happened. BB waited about 10 minutes too long to sub but DAMN

Oh Crap...Mikey apparently went after the ref and might be facing a multiple match ban

Where did you see that?

I'm willing to bet that the U.S. men's team has never had a tougher stretch of games than what they've faced in the Confederations Cup.

Italy, Brazil, Spain and (I assume) Brazil again all in the span of 14 days is ridiculous.

I would agree, 2002 WC would be the closes to it and its not really all that close.

BS.com per a Spanish language paper.

F it put him on the Gold Cup roster. Problem solved.
