that would make some sense if it wasn't for the fact that we still see plenty of hunkering down and very little attacking

It makes prefect sense for the final group games - the first of those are still being played.

Amateur hour defending.

You have to think that has a lot to do with who had the ball don't you?

To have nearly the entire team out of position? Absolutely not. The only player who was where he was supposed to be was Beasley. Everyone else was at least 15 yards too far forward. That has nothing to do with it being CR7 with the ball, and everything to do with our players and our manager (if he really was yelling for them to press up like the feed seems to suggest) completely losing their minds from a tactical and common sense standpoint.

If our back 5 are where they should be, that ball is cut out of the air before it gets anywhere near Varela. If our midfielders were in position, CR7 never has space to make that cross and we're talking about which backups to play on Thursday.

As bad as that picture is in aggregate, I'm a complete loss as to why Gonzalez was where he was.

JK was yelling at everyone to press high for some inexplicable reason. Gonzalez got caught upfield and then ballwatched. His ass should have been planted in the D permanently from the moment he came on to deal with any crosses into the area.

According to Richard Deitsch, 24.7 million people got gut punched by Geoff Cameron yesterday.

AKA ESPN probably should have gone harder on the TV bid for the next two.

Hopefully Fox learns how to promote the games as well as ESPN has this Cup.

MX-HR is super chippy and super awesome.

Prediction: we'll see a red card.

What is HR?

I'm guessing he's going with Herzegovina instead of Bosnia that they're referring to them as on ESPN.

Except that's neither Bosnia nor Herzegovina.

Oh yeah, they're playing Croatia. I continually mix them up in my head for what reason I have no idea.

Switched to watch the game on Dutch TV and just realised that's their next matchup.

Maybe, there's still ~10 mins for Mexico to get another and win the group.
