Why was Bradley so far forward in stoppage time anyway? That's time for Wondo is kill time and get hacked. Cameron was brutal tonight. He made the one okay eye couldn't make in that spot. I love Fab coming up the wing, especially with only Demosey up top.

The two longest stoppage times in the tournament both came against us. 6 minutes against Ghana, 5 [expletive] minutes today.

No idea what to do from now until Thursday morning. Go to work? Socialize? How?

I HAVE to go to work Thursday. I have no way of taking the morning off.

Believe it was only 5 against Ghana and there was another game there was a 6 min stoppage time. Can't remember who

I HAVE to go to work Thursday. I have no way of taking the morning off.

I took a night assignment tomorrow so I can get away with a 2 hour break thursday morning but lets just say the 9-11 a.m. period will not be productive

When was the last time both teams had this much to gain from a 0-0 draw?

4 years ago, with Brazil and Portugal.

I'm so pissed. I do not understand how, protecting a lead, we get beat on basically a counterattacking header.

From someone who is fairly inexperienced with soccer, I was wondering how much stoppage time would have been appropriate for the events of that 2nd half? IIRC, there were at least two injuries, two goals, four substitutions, and a card. Is that something that normally would get only 3-4 minutes?

In a normal game, that would be 4 minutes.

The problem I have is the variance between the halves. The 1st half has Meireles acting like a bitch and a water break, and gets 2 minutes. The second half has 4 minutes turning into 5 based on 1 sub.

Draw is a better result if Ghana loses to Germany yesterday.

Well, yeah, because we would have advanced.

This is the scenario we needed to avoid. We need a result against Germany, because Ghana are going to beat the [expletive] out of Portugal.

Oh yeah. I'd say we'd be looking at like 90% to advance instead of 76%

In that case all we'd need is a Ghana win, a draw or not lose a +5 GD.

Yeah, this is exactly why people saying a Ghana-Germany draw was the US's best result was wrong.

They were right if there were only 4 minutes of injury time.

If there were only four minutes injury time, it didn't really matter because the US was advancing no matter what, unless we're talking about Ghana beating Germany.

To all of you guys who are huge soccer fans, my deepest condolences. While this isn't quite as bad as losing game six in 2003, it certainly does suck.

A Ghana/Germany draw was only a better result if the US beats Portugal, as it gave them a better chance to win the group.

And my point is "winning the group" should be about a million miles from US fans' minds and results should be considered only relative to helping the team finish at least 2nd rather than worrying about the chance of first.

I have a meeting that will take up all of the first half but I'm hoping I can watch ESPN3 for the second half or camp out in the lunch room and watch Univision.
