"If Padilla does something this time, believe me, we'll do something about it," Guillen said Thursday. "If he doesn't, we'll play baseball, but I'm going to protect my players."

It's in the press, MLB. No more Ozzie being Ozzie crap. He hits a Texas batter, he needs a long suspension. His act is tired. He's said it this time, something needs to be done.

Personally, I think he should be hung from a tree in your backyard. It's only fair.

Yes, I root for the Cubs, but I only complain about the Sox when fans bring it up. If you didn't bring them up, you'd see.

I found it on ESPN.com

So, are you blaming them for bringing it up?

Reporting news, psshh...we all know they are only doing this to get CBB's goat

Yep, ESPN forced you to start the thread here.

I felt this quote was very interesting.

Back when I played, baseball wasn't like this. If you were mad about something, you did something about it. Michael Barrett didn't like what A.J. did and hit him. I didn't see anything wrong with that.

Immediately following the incident, I don't recall Ozzie saying anything about Barrett being in the wrong. Most of Ozzie's comments were in regards to Rich Hill. Please, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Why do people always give this guy crap when he says something about the Sox? Good God people, don't read the threads if your panties get in that big of a knot.

He is a reverse stereotype, people always say Sox fans obsess over the Cubs (many do), but he is doing the exact same thing with the Sox and to a much lesser extent the Cardinals.

That being said, don't ever stop CBB, the threads always take an entertaining turn.

So what? Is it necessary to give him crap about it in every thread?

If they want him to stop, then yes. He doesn't seem to have a problem being called out like this, let him defend himself.

If they want him to stop? Stop voicing his opinion? That's ridiculous.

I think his hatred of the Sox is excessive, but he's certainly entitled to his opinion and doesn't deserve to be belittled for it every time he expresses it.

Hey man, if the crap CBB gets gets your panties in a knot, then don't open the thread.

I shouldn't have to not open threads in order to avoid seeing a poster getting criticized for voicing his opinion. Frankly, I'm pretty shocked that a moderator hasn't ever said anything about all the crap that CBB gets on here.

I don't think anyone has attacked CBB. They have attacked his ideas. They have attacked his viewpoint quite well, and often have used satire and sarcasm to do so. Has anyone attacked him personally? No. I don't think so.

Frankly, if he gets attacked as badly as you say, I'm pretty shocked he hasn't come out and ripped people or complained to a moderator.

I've read a lot this thread about CBB and what Rational thinks of him and a debate over style....but all of that being said...I agree with his main point. He's basically giving a "Bring It On" speech in the paper.

I have no problem with what Ozzie said, if he intentionally hits a batter especially Pierzynski, I think the pitcher should take it upon himself to exact revenge w/out Ozzie making threats before the series as any HBP will now take on a different meaning.

Of course, if Padilla hits a lunging Uribe with a curve that doesn't break, it was likely unintentional and any act retaliation act based on that HBP led by Ozzie would be a mistake.

A coach shouldn't force a player to drill a batter that is the pitcher's responsibility.
