Which White Sox players will make the All Star squad?

Who from the White Sox will Ozzie bring to the All Star game?

 

He may be forced to avoid taking his own players that could be considered deserving due to roster amount. He has to make sure he gets a player from every team which will use up a lot of his own selections since it appears the voting will result in Yankees, Red Sox and Vlad.

 

Guys that could be considered deserving:

 

Contreras

Jenks

Thome

Crede

Konerko

Pierzynski

Dye

Iguchi

Buerhle

i think that Contreras, Thome, Buhrle, and Jenks will all probably make it. But that is without looking at the numbers so i could be wrong.

Thome isn't even on the ballot, seeing as it is being played in Pittsburgh and there is no DH, also there is NO WAY pierzynski makes or over martinez or mauer

Ballots? I'm talking about manager chosen reserves.

 

So does that mean that Ortiz can never make an all star team in a national league park considering he is also a DH. Of course not, plus Thome can play first. He did yesterday against the Pirates.

 

Ozzie's choice. He benefits more by taking his player in this case A.J. over Martinez.

 

Point being he takes as many of his own players as he can to appease them. And just to show appreciation for what they have done this year and last.

i dunno, but jermaine dye's numbers are insane this year. wtf happened?

This year has been insane for Dye. His OPS is 1.005, which is .192 above his career average. He's due to regress, which he has begun to do in June, but his pre/post all-star splits are eerily similar and his career stats are very consistent with every month. I'm sure he'll end up with a .900 OPS and 35 HR.

Not as many as should make the ASG because of the requirement that every team have an All-Star and the fact that the starting lineup for the AL will be Yanks, Sox, and Vlad.

I think Mauer gets in as well. But if for some reason he does end up on the final man ballot I'm with CubsBullsBears and will be stuffing the ballot box. Like I said, I don't think it will go that far though.
