But there's a difference between showing preference to one of your own players over a player having a similar season, and leaving out a player hitting .392 because of a "personal vendetta with Gardenhire". Selig had a meeting with Guillen and I'm sure he made a point of letting him know he better put Mauer in the game.

How many players did Ozzie Guillen select? How many were White Sox?

He had 7 picks. 4 of them, he had to use to rep every team. After that, he had 3 picks for whoever, and he took his guys.

Add Maggs and its 3 of 4. Small sample size, but its not out of bounds to assume he would screw Mauer to make room for AJ given the chance.

Especally since he screwed Liriano AND Schill to make room for Buehrle.

And b/c he repeatedly said he would take as many of his guys as he could.

who cares, he helps the NL by not letting Hafner or Liriano on the team.

You don't really think the NL has a chance....do you?

Do you really think Ben Wallace is going to bring our Bulls a championship?

In a couple years, yes

As for the ASG, who cares, b/c the AL always wins.

In a one game setting, when most of the best hitters and pitchers play, either team has a very good chance to win.

The talent disparity isn't that much at the top. The talent gap is in the middle and at the bottom of the rosters.

If this was a true exhibition (like it should be) then it wouldn't matter when the last time the NL won.

p.s.
