Seriously, I appreciate that he had a good season in 2004 and a good first half in 2005. Theres only 2 problems:

1. Its not 2004 or the first half of 2005!

2. Glendon was clearly getting fat at the end of 2005, about the time that his performance went down. He shouldn't have been given a contract just based on that. He then got a 2 year deal. He showed up to spring training even more fat. He shouldn't be a starter... or even on the roster.. based on THAT.

He clearly does not work hard, otherwise he wouldn't look like the pillsbury doughboy (only uglier). When are we going to stop running him out to get slaughtered?

He's just big-boned. :lol:

SRSLY, he is one of the worst pitchers in the league...What's his ERA, like 9+? :roll:

Every time he gets the nod, the opposing team knows they will be able to pad their offensive stats. :x

4 runs in <2 innings, is that gonna get Teats closer to the mythical 10 ERA?

Silver lining: Guzman has done very well in relief...he should get Rusch's start then next time through the rotation.

You've watched Baker how long and yet you say something silly like that? Sham on you Jehr.

I don't watch Baker. I close my eyes and cover my ears because it's otherwise painful. :lol:

Maybe I should have highlighted the should in the statement above, but you're right...that's a HUGE assumption, and not a good one to make.

I'd love to see Guz in the starting rotation for the rest of the year and see the Cubs move Maddux to a team that has a chance to win and call Hill up. I too live in your dream world.

7.80 for Rusch right now.

He's at WBBM, he's passed WGN, long past WSCR, once he gets past WLS, he'll be at WMVP in no time

I SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE AM RADIO FREQUENCIES AND CALL LETTERS TO DESCRIBE A PITCHER'S ERA THIS IS SO WRONG

I'm sure Dusty will say glendon has a "disorder of metabolism". He does, he can't shovel the Hostess in fast enough. Man, this guy is pathetic...and Johnnie B. more so for running his butt out there.

I'll translate for the out-of-towners:

WBBM= 780 AM

WGN=720 AM

WSCR= 670 AM

WLS=820 AM

WMVP=1000 AM (he's headed in this direction!)

Unless they've moved it recently, WLS can be found at 890 AM, no?

Not necessarily. If Prior returns Sunday, somebody would have to be removed from the rotation anyway; that could be Rusch.

Dusty is the manager. It could Marshall. :cry:

Or Marmol, for that matter.

Only Z and Maddux are safe.

I live near Detroit, and I was listening to the game on the local radio today. The announcers were raving about Guzman's stuff, especially how the Tigers always seemed off balance. They didn't understand why he wasn't starting, but didn't want to openly criticize Dusty. When Dusty came out to the mound in the seventh, they made the comment "I don't know if Baker is the kind of manager who checks how much fuel a guy has left in his tank." I couldn't help but think he'll take Maddux out after 80 pitches but leave Z in untill he can't lift his arm.
