He was saying they weren't really hitting the ball hard against Maddux, just a bunch of bloops. Then he said the Cubs were hitting the ball hard, but they were just hitting it right at people. Pretty much the token excuse this year.

He was saying they weren't really hitting the ball hard against Maddux, just a bunch of bloops. Then he said the Cubs were hitting the ball hard, but they were just hitting it right at people. Pretty much the token excuse this year.

That's all I can think when he spouts that inane "hit it right at the wrong people" excuse. Yeah, no crap, dummy! That's how people are caught/thrown out! Quit acting like people catching the ball is so unfair and unusual!

That is what this will continue to be. They dug themselves a large enough hole where they are stuck where they are in the standings.

 

They will win 2 here and then proceed to lose three. Although I can see them only winning one game in the next two series versus the Tigers and Indians. These two teams are going to put on a hitting clinic against the Cubs.
