I think that at this point Prior's career would be that no,no. His career is somewhat a question mark now anyhow.

Are you serious? Are you drunk? On drugs? The guy is 25 or 26 years old. How is his entire career a question mark?

So the logic here is that the value of the 10 additional pitches is more to the side of a pitcher's health then to the Pitcher's pride & confidence.

I value the better Z attitude u would have towards the rest of the season and his team then the possibility that 10 pitches would hurt him.

Well I'm glad you aren't the manager then.

So let me get this straight. Its ok to leave him in with 115 and a no, no but you should take him out 10 pitches later after he loses it just because it was a blowout? Thats silly logic.

No it's not, are you crazy?

You leave him in with 115 BECAUSE it's a no no. The minute that's over, you pull him.

Agreed. You have to get him out immediately after he gives up the hit.

And you would have lost Z for awhile mentally if you would have pulled him. Look at the great Ozzie. His pitchers fight for him because he lets them take care of their business. You do the same with Z.

I care about his health a lot more than I care about his attitude. I'm not gonna take risks with the one good, healthy pitcher the Cobs have.

RBI single for Brandon Phillips that scores Kearns. 6-5 now. Cards winning in the 8th.

There is no reason for the personal attacks.

1) Are you serious - no personal attack

2) Are you drunk - last time I checked not a personal attack

3) Drugs - not a personal attack, same as being drunk

4) I'm glad you aren't our manager - a truthful statement that contains no personal insult.

Please tell me where the personal attack was. (PM if you'd like)

You can't be serious.

Are you drunk and are you on drugs are both personal attacks to me. I think you could've gotten your point across without saying either.

Being allowed to throw 126 pitches in blowout is a different matter, though...

That's disgusting.

If it is Prior's first game back after his rehab, and he is at 140 pitches through 7, with a no-no. You keep marching his ass out there. You never take that away from a pitcher.

It's hard for me to agree more with a post than this one.

Carlos wasn't in the intro for Sportscenter.

HOCKEY is the first story. This is America :P

I'm not much of a fan, but it is the finals. I don't have a problem with this.
