Cora won't admit it. I am not sure if Ryan got his info from Jacque. He didn't say it if he saw it himself or was told that it happened. But Ozzie never talked to Cora dn he must not have remembered his kids on the field during the fight.

How many kids does Ozzie have and how old are they? I'm getting some really strange images trying to picture this whole debacle in my head.

He has 3 sons.

I might be a bit off on the ages, but in the area of 22, 20, and 14.

I suppose that's better than what I was picturing...a herd of kids all under 10 years of age swarming out of the dugout, screaming and swearing like their father. It's still [expletive] either way.

I enjoyed it when the thread title looked like it was saying "a cobra bit JJones." I had to pause for a second with that one.

No, you're thinking of the Guillen family pinata parties.

Which is a more frightening thought:

Ozzie Guillen's family?

OR

Carlos Zambrano's family?

What if a pair of star crossed lovers from each family combined the two?

My God. We'd all be doomed...

uh oh, dempster's in line for a public lashing at the hands of baker and hendry.

Along those lines, why is anyone still talking about the brawl, especially anyone on the Cubs?

I think it would be the first human being ever to communicate solely in swear words since Lee Elia.

Here's the link to Dempster's interview & Ozzie's pregame comments.

Sounded like he was serious about that part of the interview.

Jones denied the biting incident, according to cubs.com, but who cares. It's funny either way.

Trib[/url]"][Guillen] "If you're going to bite him, bite him in his cheek, in the ribs or someplace else, in the stomach. But if you pick the foot, that's the wrong place to bite somebody."

...............

"Well, if my kids were on the field, [Dempster] was going to get his butt kicked. What's Ozzie [Jr.] going to do? Eat somebody? My other one is 20 pounds and the other one is only 14 [years old]. Ryan is stupid to make those comments. One is a baby, one is too little, another one [Ozzie Jr.], the only thing he can do is eat somebody or drink somebody."

...............

From Cora: "No, I didn't bite anyone—in this fight." (Cora did bite a player during a fight while in San Diego, which may have led to part of the misunderstanding.)

...............

As for the Cora biting quote, Dempster said North originally said it was John Mabry who'd been bitten, but that he told him that wasn't true. He wasn't sure how Jones' name came up.

"So therefore, good wonderful, beautiful guy, Mike North, on the morning show, misquoted me three times. So good for Mike. That's awesome. He really knows what he's talking about, man. He was right on the money, that guy. It's awesome. It's amazing.

Pappy is such a douchebag. What's awesome is that he has a stupid looking banner for his (awful) show at the Cell and he STILL gets beat by the (admittedly far superior) national show of MIke and Mike.

If the biting incident is true, it would not be the first time for Cora. Hawk and DJ were talking about their favorite baseball fights and one of them mentioned a time when Cora was a player. Cora was found at the bottom of the pile biting someones ankle (I forget who the recipient of the bite was.)

I think Joey Cora has a problem keeping his teeth to himself.

The White Sox are the most bush league organization I have ever seen. We now have:

A GM who openly calls players "***ing idiots"

A manager who can't get a point across without using at least 10 f-bombs

A catcher who is the 2nd most despised player in all of baseball

A third-base coach who bites people in fights

Fans who run out on the field and beat down 1st base umps/1st base coaches

Why does all of this get rewarded by the fates with championships?

This might explain it. The resembalance is undeniable.

"Good thing he's thought about it, because he keeps pitching like [he is], he might be coaching pretty soon," Guillen said. "It's a stupid comment."

first of all, if anyone knows a stupid comment when he hears it, it's this idiot. secondly, guillen seems to have a lot to say about how crappy all the cubs' players are. he seems to have forgotten that he SUCKED as a player. and i mean neifi perez-style sucked. nice .625 career OPS, ozzie.

Wait, we're still talking about Demspter, right? Ryan Dempster? The player with the 2.57 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 3.80 K/BB, .186 BAA, and .498 OPS against? That Ryan Dempster? I may not even be a Triple-A [bleep], but I can tell that those numbers are keeping him in the big leagues.

Don't forget his teams "fans" give him a "standing ovation" for being a dirty player. So, the White Sox definately deserve their "thug like" reputation. Good riddance...the sooner the White Sox leave Chicago.....the sooner Chicago will be a safer place to live.
