No-hitter, Ricky Nolasco. Pierre goes 0-5 with 5 soft grounders to 2B. The Marlins, fearing the Cubs may never deal with them again, offer Miguel Cabrera as a sign of peace. Miguel puts on his Cubs jersey and promptly finishes the season at 221/245/355. We release him in the offseason and sign 62 year old Tito Fuentes. Miguel regains his form with the Cardinals, and they go 161-1 next season.

160-2, but I think the rest is spot on.

fish! FISH! I tell you, the Cubbies can BEAT ALL the FISH! ALL OF THEM! MWAHAHAHAHA! Oh rats, I don't have any insight to justify this post. Again. Hmmm. Well... here goes. OK, Marshall will make this particular game, tonight, look like ALL those other minor league games within which Marshall did exactly that: Mow down all those pesky AAA dang upstarts! Haha! I did it. Not only that, but I *Actually* do think Marshall will, in truth, pitch well and get the win for the Cubs! First of several wins for the Cubs. Acheive health, vs. the Marlins, that's what I always say. Sweep them fish right now, right now.

I'm just excited I got my name in the first post of this thread!

In other news, I see this as a really pivitol series. I think After barretts AJ-beatdown and then the come from behind win today, we have a chance to pick up some momentum. The marlins arent pushovers, but they aren't exactley the creme de la creme. I see this as a series in which we could pick up a little steam, and possibly *GASP* start winning games.

*sigh*...i just want us to not suck

I def agree with this. They might be able to come to life here in Florida...and I'm just going to say anything but a sweep of the marlins (who have lost 7 in a row) is unacceptable. I think the brawl and come back with the white sox might jolt them a little and provide at minimum a 4 game win streak...and hopefully 2/3 from the Bravos

Just his second start. And for the record, he's never thrown over 79 pitches, and after that his next closest appearance is 47.

Yeah, well...those 79 pitches might be enough for Nolasco to throw a complete game shutout against the Cubs.

Murton in the 8 spot? I don't understand, what happened to him being our 2 hitter?

It's obvious how Dusty configured his lineup. He had to alternate lefties and righties because he probably thinks it's the key to winning games.

I may be missing something but I actually like this lineup tonight.

Murton isn't a 2 hitter. Cedeno is much better suited at the 2 hole.

Why, OBP too good?

Hmmmm...I just checked Murton OBP in the 2 hole spot and it's better then Cedeno. That's surprising! Well Cedeno is a better bunter and has more speed. Aside from that it's a coin toss which is better suited for the 2nd place spot. I stand corrected...
