They had Ron Santo Day here on the 15th and raised the money. Groundbreaking is sometime around the end of June I believe. Should be pretty cool....though meeting Ron was the topper.

That's cool. Do you know where it's going to be? I was born in Freeport so I'm kind of familiar with the area.

I wonder if Marshall was a fluke all along. His ERA is almost 5.

Subtract the one really bad start and his ERA would be very respectable. He's coming off a game where he took a no-hitter into the 6th inning. I don't think he's a fluke at all.

The only game that pumped his ERA up was the SF start. Everything else has looked pretty kosher.

Coincidentally, the SF game was the first one where Sean couldn't have his good luck meal because of the early start. Hmmmmmm...

Take away that horrible outting in San Francisco, and his previous 4 starts have been nothing short of dominating.

So you go out of your way to defend Jacque Jones against the general perception of his mediocre career, but you're already maybe tossing Marshall under the bus?

Damn. That's cold.

Honestly where would we be without him? It makes Hendry's offseason look even worse when you consider that nobody expected Marshall to make this team in the offseason.

Gonna be on the corner of Empire and McKinley streets, straight south of Burk Field( the original Little League field)

Hmm, I'm not that familiar with Freeport anymore. Thanks though!

I'm not saying that. Marshall has pitched well enough to be a Major League pitcher. In a way he has bailed Hendry (a little bit) out by coming out of nowhere in the offseason.

I agree, I think he has been pitching great, but if wood and prior were not on the DL to start the year he would be down at AAA
